"Why didn't you tell me you were famous??" I lightly hit his arm.

"Cauuussse, why didn't you tell me you weren't famous?" He replied.

"Hey!!! I am famous in the Philippines." I kid, trying not to laugh.

"Noooo. Are you really?" He looked so shocked so I pretended to be offended.

"I'm kind off insulted that you don't think I'm famous-material... But yeah, I'm not." I laughed.

"I think you're really pretty, Stacey." He says smirking.

Before I can even let the compliment sink in and say thanks, 3 guys barged in the room.

"Hey Stacey, I'm Callum, this is Mi-"

"No, I'm introducing myself. I'm Michael. I like your tank top." he says as he shakes my hand.

"And I'm Ashton. Nice to finally meet you." Finally meet me? Had they been talking about me?

"I'm just kidding, I didn't even know you were coming here."

Oh.

Meeting the boys was fun. I never knew how normal and cool famous people were. This was the first time that I got to hang with their kind of people. I thought celebrities just acted a certain way to make them more sell-able or like-able. I also thought that 5sos was a boy band. I thought they were all looks. No talent, no personality.

The boys put on an amazing show. I shouldn't have had preconceived judgements about them. When I met them in the dressing room goofing around, I didn't expect much from them but when I saw them on stage it's like a different version of them. I love how they're so into what they're doing when they're playing but they also interact with the audience to make them feel connected. You can see genuine happiness on their faces when up on that stage.

"THANK YOU LOS ANGELES! WE LOVE YOU" Luke says, as they leave the stage.

"You were amazing up there!" I say, giving the boys high fives.

"I think Luke did extra well today cause someone special was watching." Ashton teased, nudging Luke with his elbow.

"Well, I had to make my mom proud." Oh yeah. His mom. Who else could be so special to him?

"Mrs. Hemmings is here??" Callum asks.

"Stacey! Come with me, One Direction is playing in a few minutes." Luke was obviously dodging the question.

"Hey, I wanna come with!" Michael says, getting in between us and putting each of his arms on my shoulder and Luke's. Luke just rolled his eyes.

The boys make me feel like I've been their friend for a long time. They're so welcoming.

We watch from the side of the stage because security won't let them join the crowd. They said we should stay here unless we want to get tackled by teenage girls and their raging hormones.

I can't believe I'm watching One Direction live. Caitlyn is going to freak out when she finds out.

Can't believe you're packing your bags

Trying so hard not to cry

Had the best time and now it's the worst time

But we have to say goodbye

Don't promise that you're gonna write

Don't promise that you'll call

Just promise that you won't forget we had it all

I've always wanted a summer love. Something short but sweet. And it won't be sad even if it ends. I remember my literature teacher telling us that some things and experiences are better kept short because things tend to get more complicated, the longer it gets. I want something that will forever stay as a happy memory. A memory that I can always relive in my head. Fleeting but powerful enough to evoke intense emotions.

'Cause you were mine for the summer

Now we know it's nearly over

Feels like snow in September

But I always will remember

You were my summer love

You always will be my summer love

I feel Luke's hand on my hip. My cheeks start to feel hot. Just like the last time he put his hand on my hip when he helped me in the grocery store. Except now, he's doing it not because he has to.

Maybe Luke can be my summer love.

No, I can't expect anything from this. He's gonna get sick of me faster than any other guy I've liked because millions of girls are crazy for him, he can get any girl he wants.

We go back to the dressing room as soon as One Direction finishes their set. All of the other boys were there. Goofing around, like the first time I met them.

"Hey you're back! There's pizza on top of the fridge, incase you're hungry." Ashton says, pointing at 4 boxes of pizza.

"YASSS! I'm starving." Michael runs to get pizza. I laugh at how cute he is while running. Almost like a little kid.

"Stacey, was that the first time you saw One Direction live?" Callum suddenly asks.

"Yeah, they haven't had a concert in the Philippines."

"What, you're from the Philippines? I thought you were from here." Luke sounded so shocked. I forgot that I haven't told him that I don't live here. We haven't told each other much about ourselves.

"Nope, I'm just spending my summer vacation here until July or August. Then I'll be going to college." I reply with pizza still in my mouth.

"You know, you should visit the Philippines. You're getting pretty big there."

"If we're getting pretty big, how come you didn't know me?" Luke raises his eyebrow and bites his lip. I smile cause he looks so adorable.

"I just didn't know what you look like. But i swear, they keep on playing your songs on the radio and i keep seeing tweets from your fangirls there. I thought you were just another boy band--"

"Boooo" I hear one of them jokingly shout, while the others put their hands on their chests, acting like I broke their heart.

"But I was wrong, okay. I was wrong!!!" I continue. I stroke Luke and Ashton's back with my hands, comforting them.

We chat for a little longer until their manager says that they had to go.

The car ride with Luke was quiet. I didn't realize that I fell asleep on his shoulder until he gently tapped my legs to wake me up. I hope I didn't snore. Or worse, drool.

Luke walked me to the hotel lobby while the driver waited outside.

"Thank you for tonight. It was nice getting to know you and the other guys." Although I expected a waaay different scenario of me watching a concert with Luke, I had so much fun with how it turned out to be.

"You too! Thank you. I'm so sorry it probably didn't turn out to be how you imagined it-"

"No, it's totally fine. I really had so much fun." I cut him off.

"Well this was the last day of the tour and we're staying here to make the new album. It would be great if we get to hang out again sometime. Just me and you." He says, kind of embarrassed.

"I'd love that." I give him a hug then he kisses me on the cheek.

"Great! Good night, Stacey. Sweet dreams."

Can I just melt into a puddle?

The process is definitely going much faster with this boy. With the other guys I've liked, it usually lasts at least a week per stage. Luke is already in stage 3 and it's only been 3 days. I know I want something short and sweet but I don't want it as short as 3 days. That's not enough to make a person fall in love with you. I want a summer love. Not a summer fling nor a summer hook-up.
