I'm pretty upset that Stacey was hanging out with that neighbor again. And to make things worse, it's at a party. I trust Stacey but I don't trust the guy.
The more time I got to spend with Stacey, the more I fell in love with her. I fell in love with her voice, the way she laughs at the silliest things, the way she looks at me after she catches me staring at her, her smile that can light up the whole world, her beautiful eyes, if I can, I'd get lost in them and never even try to find my way back. I fell in love with everything about Stacey. She seems so perfect that I'm scared to death of finding out what her flaw is. But even when i find out what it is, I won't let it ruin my chance of having the perfect girl for me.
I have never been this crazy about a girl. And I can't even tell her straight up that I like her. That I'm falling in love with her. What's wrong with me?
I drive to Stacey's to bring her coffee, for her possible hangover, and waffles, for breakfast. Besides that, I didn't really plan anything for us to do. I just really want to see her.
"Oh! Hey, Luke! You're here quite early." Stacey's mom greeted me.
"Good Morning, Mrs. Cruz! Yeah, uhm, I brought breakfast for you guys. I just thought I'd make Stacey feel better incase she had a hangover from last night's party" I replied as she let me in.
"Luke, call me Tita, instead. It seems more fitting. It's the Filipino word for Aunt and it's what most Filipino kids call their friend's mother." She giggles. "Anyway, she's still asleep. Cameron took her home pretty late last night. Do you want me to wake her up?" I cringed at the name Cameron. I hope nothing happened between.
"Would you mind if I brought breakfast to her room myself?" I ask.
"Not at all, iho. In fact, we were just about to leave. Thanks for the breakfast and for taking care of Stacey!" She says as she gives me a motherly hug.
"Anytime, Mrs. C- I mean, Tita!"
I went up to Stacey's room as soon as everyone left. I tried to be as silent as possible.
Stacey was in her bed sleeping. Her hair was a mess, she still had make up on but it was all smudged, and it seems like she hasn't changed out of her clothes from the party.
Soon enough, she was moving.
"HOLY SHIT, LUCAS HEMMINGS WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM AT 730 IN THE MORNING??" She screamed covering herself with a blanket as soon as she turned to see me.
"Correction, it's already half past 10am. Don't cover your face, you'll suffocate then die." I took the blanket off of her face. "And I brought you coffee and waffles. Seems like you need it." I smile at her then pat her cheek.
She glares at me then jumps off her bed to go to the bathroom.
"Who even gave you the permission to go in my room?" She says while brushing her teeth.
"Your mom. They all left. By the way, she asked me to call her Tita. I think she likes me and we're close now." I hear her laugh through the sound of running water.
"In the Philippines everyone calls other people's moms tita. Even strangers. But because she let you in my room, yes, I do think she likes you."
I smile at the thought of her mom liking me. Maybe she can convince Stacey that I'm good for her. I want to tell her how much I want her to like me but I can't. Not now.
Being rejected won't be a good thing for the up coming tour.
