Hidden

Chapter 11

"Can you light the fire please," Alex said to the maid who was in his room turning down his sheets as he entered with Jane in his arms.

Without thinking, Alex had carried Jane to his room. He had opened the door and laid her softly on the king-sized bed, her golden hair spread out angelically beneath her on the silk beige sheets. He removed a piece which had fallen across her face.

"Yes, your highness." The maid said and got to work lighting the fire.

He took a moment to watch as her eyes flickered beneath her closed eyelids. The lowly lit fire was now creating dancing shadows across her soft tanned skin. He had never seen her look more perfect. Alex leant down and took off Jane shoes as the maid finished.

"All done your Majesty. Is there anything else you need?" The maid asked.

"No that is all, thank you," Alex said, not taking his eyes away from Jane.

He leant down and pulled the covers over her. "Good night Jane." He whispered in her ear, and before he thought twice about it, let his lips kiss her forehead softly.

He turned away but stopped when he heard a soft as silk voice whisper in the room. "Please stay," Jane asked. He turned to look at her. Janes' eyes were still closed, but she sighed heavily which made him know she wasn't completely asleep yet.

She wanted him there, almost needed him. Jane felt so safe with Alex around, and as for sleeping, she had a terrible night last night from nightmares and was scared to be alone if she had them again.

"You should get some sleep, you will feel better in the morning," Alex explained softly, pulling the covers up over Jane as she sighed sleepily again.

Alex turned and made to leave the room to let Jane sleep when he felt a hand cling onto his. He turned and saw Janes eyes glistening into his in the darkness. "Please." It was barely audible, but Alex couldn't leave her now.

He gave in and climbed into the bed beside her, leaving a gap between them. But that space was soon destroyed as she wriggled her body into him, making Alex catch his breath as her hips moved against his.

Jane was in control now, or was it more the alcohol?

She moved his heavy arms around her, as she felt his heart beat quicken she smiled triumphantly. She's never had this effect on someone before.

Alex regained back his control and wrapped his arms tightly around her, and pulling her into his hard, muscular chest. He deepened the embrace by snuggling his head into the warmth of her neck.

She sighed as his breath on her neck created goose bumps all over her body. Alex laid one light kiss on her neck, which made Jane sigh even louder.

Stop Alex, not like this.

Alex groaned at his conscience being right. He so wanted her, right here, right now. She was completely weak in his arms and willing him to do more, and he wanted to, he wanted to a ridiculous amount. But he couldn't, it wasn't the right time.

However, the decision was made so much easier when he heard the deep breathing of Jane. She had passed out again. He smiled to himself and pulled the covers up over both of them. Pulling her deeper into him once again, before he too closed his eyes, trying to slow down his heart beat as sleep enveloped him.
