I woke up feeling my body shaken.

"Wake up Misty!" I heard Fern's gentle voice as I opened my eyes. "Finally I got you to wake up. Come on, everyone's downstairs eating already." It had been a long time since I came to Poppy's house and it was nearing to start of the school year. I sat up, looking around the room, the sun shone through the windows. At Poppy's house I had started sleeping late, going to be early in the morning instead of at a reasonable time, I was becoming more like a cat. I forced myself to stand up and quickly get changed into a blue knee length skirt, my belt and a white t-shirt with an elbow length denim jacket. I then hurried downstairs with Fern. We had cereal for breakfast and I was luckily not that hungry all though I wasn't sure why.

"The letters are here!" I heard Edward scream. He had been looking out of the window, probably waiting for the family owl to bring the letters. Soon enough a Barred Eagle owl came flying in through the open window he looked fairly old, I was sure that this wasn't the only owl they had but it was the family owl. He was carrying ten letters all wrapped nicely together, which meant that they had brought one for me. But there was one extra. Who was it for? Everyone scrambled through the letters finding the one with their names. There were ten letters with the fancy 'A' on it, the seal of the Academy. But there was one with a 'M' seal on it. I knew that that one had to be from The Ministry, therefore it could be for me or Izzy. I had a bad feeling it was for me. I had managed to grab my letter from the academy addressed to me. This time the address was Poppy's house. I wondered how they could know. There was only one letter on the table and when I looked at it I saw the address,

Ms. Misty Swift

They hadn't put an address. They must have put it with my Academy letter. I was nervous and I didn't want to open the letter. But I had to hide my feelings from the others or they would get worried. I decide to avoid the Ministry's letter for as long as I could by starting with my Academy letter with everyone else. They were all sitting around the table talking to each other and reading the school list. I opened the letter.

Dear Misty Swift,

You will be attending The Academy of Magic for your second year.

We hope that you will attend and arrive to the school on time with all your needs from Gobble Street. You will take the train from platform 5 ½ and when you arrive you will ride alone. Arriving you should make your way to the great hall before the first years arrive. These instructions have been given to you to ensure you know what to do.

See you at the Academy on the 5th of September,

Theodor Dankwood

Head Master of The Academy of Magic

I thought it strange that they would give us so many instructions. I decided to keep the list for when we went to Gobble Street and continued to open the Ministry letter, I was nervous now. The girls had told me they were headed upstairs, I had said that I would come later I could hear them discussing the second year letters. I slowly opened the envelope.

Dear Misty,

I know you have heard about the decision of the Ministry. This letter is to clear all your confusion. The Ministry has come to a decision that your care should be handed over the the council. We decided that you would stay in the Leaking Shack, which is conveniently close to The Academy and Gobble Street. There is lots of explanations as to why we have done this but you aren't authorised to learn them. I hope you understand that there is lots for you to learn and understand about yourself that you don't already know.

Best Regards,

Clive Murgatroyd

Head of The Ministry of Magic

I was shocked. The Ministry was trying to tell me that what Tristhom had told me was true, that I was royalty! I couldn't believe it. Throughout the day I said very little and it seemed that the girls started to notice I was in distress, because Faith decided to ask me.

"Are you okay, Misty?" She looked worried.

"Yea, it's just that The Ministry sent me a letter, their trying to tell me that I really am royalty and that I am somehow related to Tristhom, but I don't want it to be true!" I became extremely depressed. The other girls were upstairs enjoying themselves with no knowledge about what was going on.

"Oh, you know, when we get to the academy we can look it up, find out if it really is true. But Misty, if it is true you should accept it and know that your life is what ever you want it to be. I know it's hard but you should try." Faith was a great friend she had so good advice and I could always count on her to be there for me.

"I know, you're right and I will try, no matter what." The day ended up going quite smoothly after that and we all had a lot of fun.
