"Tell me!!! Misty!! Who is that guy!" Charlotte whined. Surprisingly enough I still couldn't say myself who he was. All I knew about him was that he was the boy I spent time with if I was wide awake in the night, he was the boy I said 'hi' to when walking in the hallways, but there was nothing else I knew about him. He was simply, Teddy. Time was flying by quickly, Faith was pushing the girls to continuously continue their practicing to become Animalians. Our schedules for studying were growing tighter, the more work we got from the Aerogon Tournament the more we put off doing our school work. It was an endless cycle of pulling ourselves out of bed, keeping ourselves awake, procrastinating and staying up late. We would be so bad that we'd end up getting help from Hailey and the others the night before or the same morning work was due. Now that our dragons had hatched we were doing the same things, Poppy and Faith had been doing, practicing communication.
"Misty!! If you won't tell me, I'll go ask him myself!" Charlotte threatened with a cheeky smile.
"No!" I grabbed her arm. "You can't!" I couldn't tell her that he doesn't know my name either and I wasn't planning to be the one who told him first, it would be like giving up.
"Why not?" her smile became a grin.
"Because..." I trailed off, this was looking more and more suspicious, "we're just friends okay?"
"Just friends?" Faith's voice was teasing, "that's always the excuse.
"No, really, we're just friends!" I argued. Charlotte began to run, rushing after Teddy. I grabbed her pulling her back as hard as I could. Somehow, I ended up on the floor. Someone had run into me and Charlotte was standing above me now, asking if I was hurt. I looked to see who it was I had run into and at seeing his face I felt myself go red. I sat up quickly helping to gather up the fallen books."Sorry, Oliver." I apologized to the boy with glasses."It's fine." he wouldn't meet my eyes, it wasn't the kind of nervous avoidance, it was more angry. He grabbed all his books in a rush and then disappeared down the hallway, "thanks."
"Come on, Misty." Charlotte helped me up. My stomach was acting funny, swirling and twisting, the boy I liked had barely said a word to me, not that we'd ever really speak to each other. I'd not really even seen him in a while, was he avoiding me?
"What do we have next?" I asked.
"Dragon Training. Don't you remember?" Poppy smiled.
"Oh right."
"Come on then! Today we're meeting the instructors!" Faith sounded overjoyed.
"I'd like to introduce you to your new instructors." Dankwood's voice beamed. "You will have four different instructors. Each house team will complete the instructor's tasks together. Two houses will learn from one instructor at a time and they will learn with one instructor for a month, so please use your time wisely."
"Get on with it! Introduce them already!" Headmaster Hassun 'urged'. The Headmasters had come to this training as well as it was an 'important' day, according to Mr Kemsley.
"Thank you, Hassun." Dankwood told the headmaster off with a stern tone, "Your four instructors," Dankwood gestured to the four people that came walking from inside the 'dragon stables'. They stood next to Dankwood smiling. "Mr Clagg will be teaching you flying." The tall man's smile was friendly, his dark curly hair messy and hanging over his hazel coloured eyes. "Miss Rastick will be teaching you combat and teamwork." Dankwood continued, this woman was small even compared to us, she had very short light blonde hair that looked rather spiky. She looked fierce, the kind of person you'd avoid. Her many shiny earrings and studs glistening in the sunlight. "Mr Wrenlock teaching communication and bond, and Mr Oldridge teaching everything to do with dragons in general." Dankwood babbled on about rules and such but it was clear everyone had stopped listening.
