As I had thought, Poppy complained that she had to tutor James and I was almost laughing. But I knew I couldn't it would offend her and then I would have to explain everything I knew to gain her friendship again. Then the teachers plan would fail and I was a little bit on their side. The girls all wanted to help her by being around for some of her tutor lessons but I saw an evil plan brewing between Faith and Charlotte. The year was going to be really spectacular. The morning was extremely tiring. At breakfast no one talked because we had already discussed everything possible last night. The good thing was that that Transfiguration was first. It was defiantly my favorite subject.

"Today is the first day of chores. We have to start after first period." I heard some other students talking behind me.

"Fern, is today really the first day of chores?" I was clueless.

"Yes, didn't you know?" Fern looked amazed.

"No." I was embarrassed that I was the only one who didn't know.

"Charles was supposed to tell you since he's your teacher." Fern seemed a little less shocked now.

"He didn't tell me anything." I was feeling a little left out.

"We'll come with you to Charles before we go to class." Charlotte spoke on behalf of everyone.

"Ya, I really need to catch up with St. Caspian since last year I didn't see him at all other than at the beginning of the year." Hailey seemed quite willing to come with me. After we had all finished we rushed up to our Transfiguration class.

"Now, today were going to take a short quiz. So I can see what you remember from last year." Professor Mac Wright parchment with questions on it. "You have as long as you need. You may start." We spent nearly the whole class answering the questions, but I found it rather easy and I was finished first. "Right then, class dismissed." Transfiguration seemed to go in no time at all. I started to walk out with the others and then Professor Mac Wright spoke, "Misty, could I have a word.". We all turned around and I became a little worried, was I in trouble? For what?

"We'll wait outside." Hailey whispered to the others but I heard clearly. I walked over to stand in front of the Professor. She was going through the quiz sheets before turning to face me.

"I wanted to just say. You've done exceptionally in Transfiguration. It seems that you have got full marks on this quiz." She was holding my paper as she flipped through the pages. "So, what do you say to doing higher transfiguration?" she asked and I was amazed, was I really that good?

"Um, okay." I smiled shyly.

"Good, good." Mac Wright looked at me strangely. But I didn't really care. "You should go, or you'll be late." I rushed off to join the girls.

"You look really happy..." Poppy inquired, as the girls all looked at me intently.

"Alright, I'll tell you. The Professor asked me to do higher Transfiguration for second years." I smiled again.

"That's great Misty." Charlotte congratulated.

"We're going to be late Misty." Fern was looking outside.

"Yes, we're going to be late too." Faith agreed with Fern.

"Congratulations Misty." They all smiled as they left to go upstairs. Fern and I had to run to the courtyard and I dropped Fern off at the green house before rushing across the field to Charles's hut.

"Misty..." Charles paused to think about why I had come. He was wearing a apron and clearly in the middle of baking.

"Chores." I helped.
