The next day, Jordan drops me off at the front of my school. This time, I tried to get out of the car as fast as I can, hoping that no one will notice Jordan and his fancy car.
Cassie, a senior girl from my Spanish III class, walks past Jordan's car and sees him through the window. "Hey, nice car!" she calls out to him. She gives Jordan one of her flirtatious smiles and Jordan grins at her. Cassie giggles and walks away.
I made gagging sounds at Jordan and rolled my eyes at him. "Get out of here, you man whore."
Jordan winks at me. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"I think you do. Also, I'm pretty sure you're considered desperate if you start hitting on high school girls." I made gagging sounds again.
"You're jealous," Jordan tells me. He smirks at me and makes his car engine roar, causing more students to check out his expensive car.
"Of what? That fact that you can't cook or the fact that you can't ice skate? Cause if that's what you're talking about, then I'm totally jealous," I say sarcastically.
Jordan glares at me, but then the look of annoyance suddenly fades away from his face. "Whatever you say, little girl. You're just mad because every guy that sees you thinks that you came from an elementary school." Jordan blows a kiss at me then drives away unexpectedly.
"That bitch," I grumble under my breath.

I walk into my Algebra II class, which is my third period class of the day. Sadly, I have assigned seats in that class and I have to sit right next to Davian, who just happens to be one of Jacob's closest friends. Great.
I put my small back in the floor next to my seat. As I take my things out of my bag and start putting them on my desk, Davian just happens to walk into the classroom. He plops down into the seat next to me and starts getting ready for class too.
"You know, I heard that you have a new boyfriend, Maya." Davian was staring at me, but I didn't look at him or talk to him. I just took out my things for Algebra II and pretended like I couldn't hear him. "I also heard that he was blowing kisses at you. You know, it's shameful that you would get a boyfriend, especially since Jacob has been trying to apologize to you. It's just... unfair."
When Davian said that, I turned to look at him. I glared at him and my fists were clenched from how angry I was. "No, Davian. I don't have a boyfriend. But you know what's shameful? The fact that you expect me to forgive Jacob for cheating on me with Tana." When I mentioned Tana's name, Davian was slightly surprised, but he tried to hide it.
"Who told you who Tana is?"
I laugh at him. "She told me who she was herself. I met her at the mall yesterday. You know, she told me she never knew that Jacob was dating me, so I guess that means Jacob was cheating on Tana too. Now that's shameful. Can you imagine how terrible it would be if I started telling people that not only did Jacob cheat on me, but he also lied to Tana and cheated on her? It's so unfair, isn't it?"
Davian was speechless. He looked away from me.
"You know what else, Davian? You knew the whole time that Jacob was cheating on me and Tana and you did nothing about it. If anything, you're the most shameful person ever. You're even more shameful than Jacob. If I were you, I'd shut up right now. Also, I wouldn't go around telling people I have a boyfriend when I really don't."
Davian laughs at me. "No. You know what's actually shameful? That Jacob actually liked Tana more than you. He said so himself. I guess it's just so saddening, isn't it?"
