I pull out the big tub of coffee ice cream from the freezer and open it. I pull out my hydro flask and a large spoon to scoop the ice cream out with it. I was just about to get some ice cream when Jordan makes his way down the staircase and sends me a weird look. He had on a navy blue t-shirt and gray sweatpants and his hair was a bit messy, showing that he had just woken up.

"Maya, it's six thirty. Why are you eating ice cream for breakfast?" Jordan walks around the counter and stands beside me, looking down at the big spoon in my hand and the opened hydro flask in my other hand.

"I'm not eating ice cream for breakfast. I'm bringing it to school." I scoop up a big blob of ice cream and carefully put it into my hydro flask, making sure that I don't spill it onto the counter. Jordan stifles a laugh. I look up from my hydro flask to see Jordan's comical look on his face.

"You're amazing. I never thought about bringing ice cream to school," he says, taking the spoon out of my hand. Jordan digs the spoon into the tub of ice cream and scoops up some coffee ice cream. He puts it into his mouth then hands me the spoon again. "Delicious," he tells me with the ice cream still in his mouth.

"Ew," I remarked, looking at the spoon, which still had ice cream from his mouth on it. "You're going to wash this spoon."

Jordan chuckles. "Whatever. It's not that gross."

I roll my eyes at him before continuing to scoop some more ice cream into my hydro flask. Once I was done, I put the hydro flask in the freezer so I can take it before leaving the house.

"Hey, shouldn't you be getting ready? I thought you said you had a test today," I remind Jordan. Jordan looks at me, and he looked like he was about to freak out.

"Shit, you're right."

A huge grin was plastered on my face as I watch Jordan sprint out of the kitchen and up the stairs.

Sometimes I just have some days where I need to eat some ice cream, and today was the perfect day to do that. There's just so much things on my mind, and eating away my problems felt like the perfect thing to do. I mean, ice cream can help a lot of things, especially since my world came crashing down on me a few months ago, and it still feels like its crashing down.

I could feel the cool air surrounding me as I took a seat at the very top row of the bleachers. There were a few guys playing soccer on the soccer field in front of me, and sometimes during my lunch period I like sitting out here and watch them play. Okay, maybe I don't entirely understand how soccer is played, but I guess it just helps me clear my mind.

I pick up my hydro flask and use my spoon to scoop out ice cream from inside of it. I honestly could care less that it was cold outside. I needed the ice cream. And besides, if those boys on the soccer field can play soccer in the chilly weather then why can't I enjoy some ice cream?

"Um, hey!" A male voice calls out. I look below me and see Jacob walking up to the very top of the bleachers, where I was sitting. I sigh to myself, trying my best to mentally prepare myself for an awkward conversation with Jacob. I eat another scoop of ice cream to calm my nerves.

"Hey," I greet him. Jacob casually takes a seat next to me, and I move a little so I wasn't so close to him.

"Can I have some?" He asks me, gesturing towards my hydro flask filled with ice cream. "Knowing you, you definitely have ice cream in there." I give him a little laugh as he takes my spoon and gets some ice cream from the hydro flask.

I felt sort of uncomfortable. I'm not sure if its because he's sitting next to me or it's because we're sharing the same spoon. I wipe those thoughts away from my head because I knew it would cause me to feel nervous. Jacob hands me back the ice cream.
