I made sure before traveling, I've set up the playlist I want to listen to.
And don't judge me if most of it are Taylor Swift songs because I love her. No arguments on that. Period.
When I had a conversation with Evan before, he asked me who is she. And I was like, "You don't know her?" I thought everyone knew Taylor Swift but then again, not everyone likes country-pop or just country music. So yeah, I introduced her to him, telling him about her music and her career. All those things I'm proud of as a fan.
First on my playlist is Breathe by Taylor Swift. This song reminds me of Evan so much. I still remember the argument that we had and I was mad at him. Then I was surprised to see him sent me a message from the song. But after listening to the song, I realize that maybe at one point, that's a sign of us being apart from each other.
Everything has Changed by Taylor Swift
Ours by Taylor Swift
Arms by Christina Perri
All too well by Taylor Swift is another memorable song to me. I don't know how but everytime we had argument, this song would be the one on my playlist at home. And hearing this just breaks my heart, though. This lines, "And you call me up again just to break me like a promise. So casually cruel in the name of being honest." reminds me of the night--the second time after he said his goodbye--he said something I was surprised he would say to me.
Nightingale by Demi Lovato
Dilemma by Selena Gomez
Somebody out there by David Archuleta
Without the love by Demi Lovato is a cute song that always reminds me of him. Evan is a sweet guy. He was the one who calls me nicknames. My favorite of all was "baby girl". I like that so much and I wonder what would it sound like when he says it in person.
Still into you by Paramore is a song that I like listening to. Just by hearing the title, it already tells the feelings of the person singing it. I'm still into him, that's for sure. And after this search, I wonder if this song will still be part of my playlist.
The other side of the door by Taylor Swift has a line that I want to Evan to know that night--the night I pushed him away and the same night he said his goodbye.
Enchanted by Taylor Swift will always be the song that I will love, because just like what the song is saying, I was enchanted to meet Evan.
Be your everything by Boys like girls
Stay stay stay by Taylor Swift is the song I used on one of my poems. To tell Evan that I didn't know what would I be if he left. Something like, "Please stay because you're the one who completes me."
I knew you were trouble by Taylor Swift is for bad boy type of guy kind of song. I don't say that Evan is a bad boy. He's just the quiet-type (or not). I don't know. I feel like, I get myself into a situation wherein I'm the good girl and he's the bad boy. It's quite complicated, actually.
Wish you were here by Avril Lavigne
Come back... Be here by Taylor Swift
I almost do by Taylor Swift
I never told you by Colbie Caillat
If we were a movie by Miley Cyrus
Last kiss by Taylor Swift
Never knew I needed by Neyo
Where do broken hearts go by Whitney Houston
And the last song is In my arms by Krissy and Ericka. This was the song playing on that rainy night.
Judging by the songs I have on this journey, these are mostly, eh, sad songs. I call this playlist, 60 days in love.
