Chapter 17

*Hayes's POV*

I texted Alyssa before and her and the girls were coming over. When they got her, i took Alyssa to the park. I wanted to ask her if she would be my girlfriend. I didn't really know what we were and i wanted to be 100% positive.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" i asked her. I know it was straight forward but i didn't know how else to put it. She didn't really say anything. She was just kind of shocked i guess.

"I know we haven't known each other for long but i'm happy with you. I really like you And i don't really know what we are. Are we dating, are we just friends? So I wanted to make it official" i added.

"Oh my god" she started.

"It's okay if you say no. We can still be friends. I just wanted to be more than friends" i looked at the ground. I was a little upset.

"Hayes" she playfully punched me "of course i'll be your girlfriend. And to be honest, i didn't really know what WE were either" she laughed.

I lifted my head up. Now i was shocked. I thought she was going to say no. I was beaming on the inside.

"Really?" i questioned smiling.

"Yes" she giggled back.

I was so happy. She was mine now.

"But there's one problem" she looked at the ground.

"What" I asked now worried. Is it about me?

"My ex-boyfriend. He wanted to get back together with me for a while now. And i said no, and I broke up with him so you don't have to worry about me falling for him, but he has always wanted to get back together. He might try to do something to you when he finds out were dating." She seemed upset about that. I was mad and upset that her ex is trying to get back together with her.

"Don't worry. He won't hurt me. i'm strong see" i put my arm up and showed her my muscle.

"Wow. Thats some muscle" she laughed.

We got off the swings and decided to go back home and tell everybody. Nash already knew but he never knew the outcome.

As always, we held hands the way back. I was happy she was mine.
