Chapter 42

*Hayes's POV*

At that moment, Alyssa's mom walked back in.

"The doctor said you can leave tonight" Alyssa mom smiled.

"Yay. Thats great" Alyssa grinned.

I was still upset that she didn't know that I was her boyfriend. But atleast she thought of me as her friend and she didn't forget who I was completely. But why Cameron of all people?

~a couple hours later~

"Ready to leave" Alyssa mom asked us.

"Yes, definitely" Alyssa nodded.

She got in the wheelchair and we left the room. She had to be in a wheelchair because of her rib, but not for too long.

"Okay let's go home" Alyssa mom got in the car and so did the rest of us.

When we got back, we went to my house. Lizzie and Morgan had to go home and Alyssa came over to hang out.

"I can't believe you don't remember i'm your boyfriend" i mumbled under my breath.

"What" she asked turning around.

"Nothing" I lied.

"Okay" she sat on the couch.

"Let's play black ops" Nash suggested.

"I love this game" Alyssa smiled.

"Hayes you want to play" Nash asked me holding a controller.

"No" I huffed.

"Alyssa why don't you start a game solo. I gotta talk to Hayes for a second" Nash told her handing her a controller.

She nodded and started playing.

"Whats wrong dude" Nash asked sitting next to me.

"Alyssa doesn't know i'm here boyfriend. She thinks Cameron is" i almost gaged.

"I'll invite him over and have him try and help clear it up okay" Nash got out his phone and called Cam.

"Okay" I felt a little better about that.

"He's on his way. He'll be here in 5 minutes" Nash patted my back and grabbed a controller.

I watched them play a couple games. Alyssa was actually pretty good at this, even though Nash was winning. Nash only won by a little bit. Then the doorbell rang.

"I got it" i said as I got off the couch.

I walked upstairs and opened the door. Cameron was standing there, smiling.

"Hey" he said.

"Hey" I mumbled.

"Woo. Whats your problem" he scrunched his eyebrows in confusion.

"You are my problem. I don't mean to sound mean and have this in a mean way, but your really are my problem right now" i told him.

"What did i do" he angrily asked coming in.

"Alyssa got hit by a car penny-boarding today. She's fine but she doesn't remember i'm here boyfriend. She uh thinks your her boyfriend" i said looking at the ground, tearing up a little.

"Really" he smiled a little, but then had sorrow in his eyes, "i'm so sorry bro. Is that why he invited me over"

"Yeah. He wanted you to try and tell her that i'm her boyfriend and your just her friend" i told him.

"I'll do everything i can to help you" he smiled.

"Thanks" I returned the smile.

I bro hugged him and we went downstairs. Nash turned around and looked at us. I guess Alyssa noticed.

"Nash, ready to play another game" she asked him turning around.

Her face lightened up and she smiled from ear to ear. She got up and tried to run to Cameron. She kind of just limped fast because of her ribs. She jumped into Cam's arms.

"I missed you babe" she smiled looking down at him.

"I uh missed you too" he replied.

She stared into his eyes for a little and then leaned in for a kiss. I wasn't sure if Cam was leaning in to but the next thing i knew, they were kissing. My jaw dropped and so did Nash's.

Did Cam really just kiss her back?
