Chapter 24

*Hayes's POV*

We got to the party at 6:00. There was already a lot of people there and i think more people were coming later. I've been to parties before, but they didn't really turn out good.

We walked in the door the music was blasting in the living room.

"I'm going to go look for Matt" Nash yelled over the music to me.

I nodded my head and he left.

"Hayes. This is Dylan. He is the one who invited us to the party. Dylan, this is Hayes. He and his brother, Nash, moved in next door to me. Nash is a grade above us and Hayes is i. Our grade" Alyssa pointed to a kid about the Sam height as me and introduced us. We said our hi's and talked.

"I'm going to hang out with Morgan and Lizzie. Text me if you need anything" she shouted to me.

"I got him covered" Dylan winked.

She left and walked into the group of people to join her friends.

"So your new here?" Dylan asked me walking into the kitchen.

"Yeah i just moved in the beginning of summer. Next to Alyssa" I replied.

"Oh thats good. So did you hear that Jack wants to get back together with Alyssa?" he questioned.

"Uh yeah i did. We actually ran into him at the mall today. And me and Alyssa are dating" i said.

"Oh, haha. Thats good. Your lucky" he laughed.

"Thanks" he smiled.

I went to go find Alyssa, but i couldn't. I walked into the living room. She wasn't there. I walked into the kitchen. She wasn't there. I walked upstairs and there were a couple people talking.

I looked into one of the rooms and I saw Alyssa. She was in their with Jack.

"Jack. Please let me leave" she pleaded.

"No. Not unless you get back together with me" he demanded.

"Jack. I told you i don't want to. And anyways, i'm dating hayes now. And i really like him and i'm not going to go ba-" she was interrupted and i didn't know why.

I peeked in the door more and saw Jack had just broke the kiss. She just sat their looking shocked.

"What are you doing" i asked Jack now walking into the room.

"Hayes. I can explain" Alyssa said tearing up.

"It's okay. I know what happened" i hugged her and walked her out of the room.

"Alright listen here you little bug." I said walking up to Jack. He was in the corner of the room now and looked like he was about to pee himself. He kept backing up and I followed.

"Now, i'm not going to do anything to you cause i'm a nice guy. But next time, i will. Have a nice night" and with that i left the room. Yeah I was angry, but at him. I know Alyssa didn't do anything. It was Jack's fault.

I went downstairs and left the house to go look for her. She was outside with Lizzie and Morgan. They were hugging her and she was crying.

"Excuse me girls. Can I talk to her alone" i asked them nicely.

They looked up and agreed. They walked away and went back to the house. Alyssa was sitting on the curb with her back facing me.

"I know you probably hate me and you want to break up with me and i get it" she sniffed.

"Why would I want to break up with you" i asked.

I already knew the reason why she would think that but I wanted her to say it.

"Well because Jack and i kissed" she turned around.

Her eyes were red and her mascara was a little smeared.

"I know. I saw the only thing. And heard everything. He wanted to get back to get her with you and you said no. I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at him" i smiled.

She hugged me.

"I'm really sorry" she said into my shoulder.

"I know. It's okay. Now. Let's go enjoy this party" i said getting up.

She smiled and we walked back into the party.
