What would you do for someone that you like?

"Who the hell is texting me at this hour? It's three in the morning and I don't have anyone's number, just my mom's and Ashley's." I thought as I reached out to get my phone from the night stand. When I turned on my cell phone, I got blinded by its brightness. It took seconds for me to adjust my eyesight.

"Three unread messages from Ashley." I think this phone must be broken or something like that. Why would Ashley text me at three in the morning when we have school later? Well, it wouldn't hurt to check and be sure.

"Hey, I'm sorry to bother you Aiden, but my parents' car won't start." The first message said.

Then the second continued, "I live far from the school and well that's why I'm up at this hour".

Why couldn't she just get to the point with the first message?

"Well, what I wanted to ask you is, would you give me a ride to school? I know it's asking too much because I live far away and it's really early, but hey, I'll pay for gas. I will understand if you can't." Said the third message.

Wow! She must really live far if she has to wake up at this hour and I'm way over my head for what I'm about to text her. "Don't sweat it Ashley, just send me your location and I'll put it on the GPS." Is this what you do when you like someone? Wake up at three in the morning to give that person a ride to school?

"Are you sure Aiden? I mean, you don't have to do it if you don't want to." She texted me back.

After that message I called her and man did I regret that. Since I was still partly asleep I said a lot of nonsense; I could hear her at the other end laughing at my incoherencies. At least she understood me when I told her that I was going to pick her up.

After I hung up, I immediately jumped out of bed, bathed, put perfume on, and put some clothe. I brushed my teeth and went directly to the door. As I was reaching for the door, my mom got home, "Aiden! What are you doing up at this hour?" She asked.

"Well mom, long story short a girl needs a ride to school and I'm going to pick her up, I promise to tell you all when I get back. Love you." I gave her a kiss on the cheek and went to my car. I had a really long drive ahead so I did a quick stop at a gas station. I topped up on gas and bought a bottle of water. Then, I continued my way to Ashley's house. Before getting to her house, I did another stop and bought two breakfast with two large coffees. I took some cream and some sugar because I didn't know how she liked her coffee.

IF SHE EVEN LIKES COFFEE... My whole body shook at the thought that I was going to look like a fool with a coffee she didn't like.

"Hey, I'm here." I texted her because I was afraid to honk.

Seconds after, she came out looking fantastic. She had a short, black dress, above the knees, fitted to the body, and with long sleeves. Maybe some of you may see it simple, but trust me she looked gorgeous. She smiled at me as she approached the car. I was starting to feel really ashamed because she looked fantastic and I was wearing a pair of jeans with a white shirt. It didn't even say anything it was simple, just white. When she opened the door she said, "Aiden you're a life saver. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
