The best way to spend your time is when it flies past and you didn't even realize it because you were with the right person.

I can't believe Damien almost caught me; I'll have to be more careful next time. I hope he doesn't remember anything when he wakes up. I left him unconscious lying on his bed; let's hope that when he wakes up he thinks it was all just a dream. At least I got what I came for, since I knocked him out, I took his hand and put his fingers all over the bag of blood that I used. My plan was to take the empty bag of blood with his fingerprints to the police station. I wrote a note saying that I heard what happened the day before and that I found the bag near Rodger's house (Rodger is Damien's father). I wrapped the bag with one of Damien's shirt and put it in my bag. After that I went to the hospital to check on Ashley. When I arrived, I stood frozen for a minute just looking at her. She looked paler than usual and really weak.
"Hey you" she said and her words were barely a whisper. "What are you doing here?"
"Hey you" I said with a smile and ignoring how horrible she looked. "I came to see you and keep you company."
She tried to sit up, but couldn't. She let out a sigh of frustration, "I hate this thing! Help me up please."
I took her arm and helped her sit up on the bed. "Aiden! What happened? How did you get that cut on your forehead?"
"Oh this thing? Just clumsy me like always." If she only knew that my entire body was covered in bruises thanks to Damien. The only thing I was able to protect was my face and still they managed to cut it.
"But enough about me. Are you ok? I mean don't take it the wrong way, but you look like a zombie." I saw a grin forming on her face.
"Who knows maybe I'm craving some brains right now." She looked at me straight in the eyes and tried to stay serious, but she couldn't stop the small grin that formed on her face.
"I'm alright, it's just that all this medicine that they're giving me for the pain. I feel like sleeping all day long, this medicine is making me very weak."
"And what did the doctor tell you?" I asked.
"Well she said that I should stay today and tomorrow so they can study the X-rays and make sure that I'm ok. I'm not worried because she's sure that I'm alright, but she wants to be a hundred percent and that is why I have to stay." She paused for a moment waiting for me to say something, but I just stared at her.
"So I'm just gonna stay these two days and then I'll be joining you in school. Oh and Aiden? I don't know about you, but someone promised that we were going to celebrate and I hope that he delivers."
"I wonder who that person could be" I put my fingers on my chin and looked at her, "Don't worry I'll find him or her and make that person delivers."
"He better or I'm going to be really mad at him." She said in a joking mood.
"Ooohhh, so it's a he; good to know. I'll relay the message." I smiled at her and continued to ask her something. "Hey Ashley, where are your parents?"
"Well, they were here just a couple of minutes ago, but they had to leave. They both work night shifts so I made them go to work. Mom wanted to stay with me, but I told her to go to work that I was going to be fine. I had a feeling that you were going to show up."
"Oh did you now? So what, you can read my mind know?"
"Something like that"
"Yeah? So do you know what I'm thinking now?" I asked with a smile on my face. "If you guess what I'm thinking, then I'll take you to wherever you want."
"Pft, easy! You're thinking that I'm never going to guess what you're thinking." She stopped so I could answer, but before I got the chance, she added, "You know I'm right".
I sat on the edge of the chair and answered, "Not a bad guess, but you're wrong". I looked at her in the eyes and continued, "I was thinking about a certain someone that was singing in my car yesterday, she sang beautifully". I saw her blush a little and she tried to hide it.
"I wonder who that girl might be." She lowered her head trying to hide how red she had gotten. "Hey, Aiden"
"What?" I tried to look at her in the eyes, but she still had her head lowered.
"You should get going it's getting dark and tomorrow you have to go to school." She raised her head and looked at me, "I hope to see you tomorrow".
"I'm not going anywhere; I'm staying here all night with you," I replied.
"What? I mean, no, you have to go. I don't want you all tired in school because of me."
"Tomorrow's Friday and I only take two classes, so I'm good. I can even get out of school early and come here." I picked up my backpack and showed it to her. "I even got my backpack, so I'm ok for tomorrow."
"Are you sure? I mean I don't want you all sleepy in school because of me and that chair doesn't seem too comfy."
Man, if she was happy that I was staying, she sure knew how to hide it.
"Yes, I'm sure; and this chair is comfy enough, unless you're inviting me to the bed with you." I looked at her and she was smiling from my comment.
"Yeah you wish Barry Allen."
We laughed; then I took her hand and she looked deep into my eyes. It felt as if she was staring at my soul.
"Hey, you know what I'm thinking now?" I said.
"I think I do." She gestured me to lean closer to her and when I did, she whispered in my ear, "That you want to hug me or maybe kiss me?" As she said that she slid her head against mine until we were forehead to forehead almost kissing. She leaned a little bit and so did I, when we were almost at the point of kissing, she lied back on the bed with her back facing me and said, "Good night". Before I sat back down on the chair I saw her biting her lower lip and smiling.
I can't believe she did that to me, that's rude.
Leaving me like that, that's evil. I settled in the chair and tried to find the most comfortable position to sleep. I could only think about her, I tried to push everything away, but I just couldn't. I kept thinking about that girl that was just a few feet away from me until sleep caught up to me and I fell to complete darkness.
