Can't Let You Go

Chapter eight:

Ashley straddles Chase and moves her hands through his hair while grinding on him, it makes me a little jealous. I feel a lot better when I see the annoyance on his face but it's quickly hidden by the cold emotionless facade he lets the world see.

She pulls his hair and lifts his head so that he can look her in the eyes.

"I heard you've been threatening my friends while I was away. Why is that." Chase rolls his eyes again.

"Your friends a bitch. She tried to attack Ava, she's one of us now. That's against the rules and you know that." He says in strong board voice.

"I'm not afraid of you Chase. I'm not like Kate and all the rest. Last time I checked she's a girl." She says referring to me. "I have all reign over the girls. Which means you can't protect her. She's going to pay for your mistakes." Again with people talking like I'm not in the room like seriously.

"No one controls me but me so if you want to fight me then lets fight I'm not afraid of you bitch. I've taken you and your three other friends at the same time. What makes you think I can't take you now, one on one." She gracefully gets off of Chase to stand in front of me. I am aware that everyone is staring at us but she doesn't care so why should I.

"Back down now and I let this little incident pass." She says as If I care about her social status.

"If I don't then what?" I test.

"Then I'll be forced to make an example out of you. I know you're new here and all, so you don't know how things work. I know you aren't the brightest bulb so I'll dumb it down a little. Don't fuck with the fantastic five we eat girls like you for breakfast." Wow. First it was The Fearsome 5 now it's the Fantastic 5 what are we twelve. What's with the club names, this is really comical.

"Bring it. There's nothing you can do that hasn't already been done. I know you aren't smart enough to understand this so ill dumb it down. Don't fuck with me." I say mocking her snobby tone.

The loud party that could be heard 100 miles away is now quiet. Everybody including Chase and Tyler are waiting to see what will happen next. I myself am curious as to what Ashley is going to do. She won't back down in front of everybody and she knows that I can kick her ass so let's see.

"You're right. Anything I do to you will be insignificant, but all of us," She snaps her fingers and Kate and crew show up next to her. "We can destroy you." I laugh at how this reminds me of a show I seen one night. The girls don't look to pleased with my reaction.

"Whatever." I laugh then pushing them out the way so I could leave. I just ended the show off between us so the noise started back up followed by the music. A song I only know because of Danny.

I walk out to the lake that's in Danny's backyard. To my surprise there isn't and drunk teens in the water swimming and pretending to drown. It actually quiet so I walk around the shore passing by a few couples making out. Gross.

How would my life be if I didn't have to deal with bullying. I might actually have a boyfriend and a life. I would've been able to goto parties and have friends. Although I would still have a crappy mother and a womanizer as a step brother. I let out a exasperated sigh and sit down on the edge of the wooden dock. I swing my little legs back and forth then stare up at the stars.

The stars look so beautiful and free. The full moon shines down on me making me feel lighter. I feel like if a strong gust of wind blows I will fly away. Actually that doesn't sound half bad. Fly away where no one knows my name, where no one cares about clothes or money, and where people only like people for who they are. Sadly there aren't any places like that. It only exist in my dreams. My perfect utopia.

I start to feel my eyelids get heavy and I slowly but surely fall asleep looking up at the bright free stars that will someday give out.
