x Kim Taehyung, a cute red headed mermaid, meets Jeon Jungkook, the youngest member of BTS.
"Where have you been?" someone said behind me, I took a deep breath and turned around. I sighed knowing that it was just Jimin hyung.
"h-hey Jimin hyung" I laughed nervously
"Kim. Tae. hyung, where have you been?" he says in a low voice. Oh no, he's mad.
"I was just in the kitchen getting some food," I lied.
He looked at me for a second wondering if I was telling the truth.
"Okay, dad was looking for you. He said he wanted to talk to you." He said, I nodded my head and he went inside his room.
Once he was inside, I swam my way into my dad's office. I wonder what he wants to talk about, could it be about my coronation? Once a chosen prince becomes 21 years old, there will be a ceremony where they become the king. To be honest, I feel like Jimin hyung would fit more to be the king, he's more mature than I am, I don't even know why dad chose me. Plus I don't think I'm ready to be a king, being a king means I have to let go of my freedom and I have to drown myself to work, which I don't like.
When I made it in front of dad's office, I knocked quietly "Come in" dad said. I opened the door and I saw him sitting on his chair.
"hey dad, you wanted to talk to me?" I said and sat in one of the chairs
"Yes, Taehyung your birthday is one month which means one more month before you become the new king. In order for you to be in the throne, you need someone who would rule the kingdom with you, in short you have to marry someone" he said
I just looked at him without saying anything, so I have to not only let go of my freedom but also marry someone?!
"I don't think I can do that dad, I would have been fine letting go my freedom but I don't think I can marry someone." I said looking down
"I knew you would say that. I am not forcing you to marry anyone but there is someone I would like you to meet, just go in one date and if you don't like her then I won't force you. But you have to look for someone to marry as soon as possible." dad said while giving me a hopeful smile
"fine just one date, but if I don't like her I would look for someone I truly love and marry her or him." I said, dad just smiled at me and nodded.
Here in the mermaid world, we don't care if you like the same gender as you. There are a lot of mermaids here that are gay but they still live a normal life happily.
"Thank you son." he smiled, I stayed in dad's office and talked about my coronation day.
Once we were done talking, I left his office and went back to my room. It was already late at night and I still have to wake up early for my date with Jennie, she is one of the most popular princess around. I'm not really excited about the date, but I am excited about meeting Jungkook again.
I got in my room and I immediately jump to my bed since I have been swimming all day. I was about to close my eyes and sleep when someone knocked on my door.
uhhhhhhh, I was just in a comfortable position and I didn't want to get up. I just ignored the knock but it just keep getting louder, I got up from my comfy bed and and dragged myself to the door. When I opened the door, I saw Jimin hyung hugging his pillow.
"What do you want?" I asked angrily
" What did you and dad talked about?" he then entered my room and making himself comfortable in my bed.
"We just talked about my coronation day." I said and sitting next to him.
"Is that all? you look pretty dull" he says
"I also found out that I have to marry someone to be a king." I said
"I thought you knew that?" He said while playing with my hair.
I shook my head no and said " no, I didn't know about it. dad said I will be going on a date with someone but if it doesn't work out, I have to look for a bride or groom as soon as possible."
"Who are you going on a date with?" he asked
"Jennie"
"Oh, she is actually my friend. Don't worry she is a really nice girl." he gave me a reassuring smile while patting my back. I smiled and laid next to him.
"Goodnight Jiminie." I said
"Goodnight to you too Taehyungie, don't worry about tomorrow, everything will be fine." He said.
