HYUNRA POV

The days at work went by relatively smooth, I just ignored the curiosity and urging feeling in my heart.

I tried my best to compose myself and keep myself calm whenever I heard her nostalgic voice.

Today was the same...

Almost.

"Hey you, make it quick. I want a avocado juice with no sugar, cappuccino with milk and a green tea with exactly 2 slices of lemon. Absolutely no sugar in anything." The next customer snapped quickly and hastily before I could ask for her order.

She sounds so bitter. Probably because she doesn't like sweet things.

"Alright, that would be $11.30, Miss." I said.

"Oh, I've kinda left my wallet at home so can I just pay you back another day? I'm in a rush so please make it quick." She said rudely and arrogantly without looking up from her phone as she tapped away on her screen.

"Erm, I'm sorry but I can't do that. I don't have authority to do that, the manager's not in too." I told her, hoping that she'll understand.

"Excuse me? Just do what I say! Do you know who I am?!" She finally snapped her head up and glared at me while pointing her manicured fingers at me.

Oh god, why her out of all people? I cursed internally while swearing at my terrible luck.

"Look, Soohee. I'm not the boss here, and that's not how shops work. You might have a lot of money at home, but you don't have money right now do you? Please get out if you can't afford anything." I patiently explained to her dumb and her non-existant brain.

Luckily, there were no other customers here to hear her spouting nonsense.

"Oh! It's you, thief." She spat with her over-glossy lips as her saliva went flying out of her foul mouth.

"Yep, that's right, me. A thief. I stole his heart." I shot back without thinking at all.

Oh god, did I really just say that? Why did I say that? I probably sounded really desperate. I mentally sighed and imagined slapping myself for blurting that comeback.

She gasped and gulped, clearly not expecting that.

Okay, maybe that was worth it. I smirked and proceeded to cancel all her orders.

"I'm pretty sure you are the dishonest one here, acting all fake in front of my guy. And sure, of course you'll pay up another day."

I almost coughed when I mentioned Jeonghan, covering up my voice with layers of sarcasm, hoping that she doesn't suspect this act to be fake.

"Oh! Welcome, what would you like to order?" I smiled when I saw a customer with a snapback cap walk in and came forward to order.

Thanks for the save. I silently thanked the stranger.

He pulled up his cap and revealed his face.

Nevermind, screw my luck, it hates me.

"I want you." He smiled flirtatiously.

Stop it, you make me gag. I mouthed to him.

He pouted and then immediately grinned again.

"Hey, you're here too!" He said to Soohee who was still stunned and he said it almost too cheerfully.

"Oh... Jeonghannie oppa. She wouldn't let me order a drink because she's jealous of me. So, can you... maybe, get me a drink?" She lied shamelessly.
