Chappie 13

HYUNRA POV

Who is she? She looks so oddly familiar!

I kept stealing glances at her after she entered the cafe. Mingyu must have noticed my actions as he turned around to try and search for what I was staring at.

He let a gasp before turning his head back to me with wide eyes and a gaped mouth.

"Isn't she that woman who Jeonghan went out with? Oh wait, I mean... Erm... I'm sorry, I forgot you and Jeonghan were a thing." Mingyu carefully said after the awkward mistake.

Were.

I shook my head vigorously despite my feelings felt as if they were turned inside out. "It's fine." I mumbled under my breath. But I don't think he heard it.

"But are you sure she is that woman whom Jeonghan went out with?" I asked rather suspiciously.

Mingyu eyed me and gave me a nod.

She was alone and looking around as if she was waiting for someone.

No, please.

But like I said, fate hated me so much so that the person I dreaded most had to appear. And I felt myself hoping that the perosn she was waiting for was who I was avoiding.

Jeonghan walked into the cafe and sat down on the same table as the woman as she waved to him.

Jeonghan smiled when he saw her and the woman also grinned when she saw him. They looked so chummy together, I almost felt jealous.

Wait. No, I don't feel jealous. Why would I?

Mingyu looked at me worriedly and asked if I was alright. I could barely give a nod to him and I don't think he believed me even after I tried to reassure him that I was fine.

I continue observing them and noticed that Jeonghan got dead serious with her after awhile of chatting.

JEONGHAN POV

I told her directly that I needed her help to resolve the misunderstanding. All she had to do is to tell media that we were only friends.

Thankfully, she agreed and I sighed in relief.

My eyes wandered off her and onto the furniture around, it was so different from other cafes. I was scanning the room before I spotted a person that I recognised. Wait no, 2 people that I recognised.

Mingyu and Hyunra.

What were they here? I asked myself sceptically. Just then, my eye contacts caught her eyes as she spotted me. She quickly looked away and pretended that she saw nothing.

Then she got up with Mingyu and walked out together.

They look so chummy together.

"Um, hey. Jeonghan, are you listening?" Soohee asked.

"Oh, uh. Look Soohee, I'm really sorry but I just remembered I had a super important thing to take care of right now. I gotta go." I jumped up from my seat and chased those 2 secretly.

Outside, they were laughing together about something.

Mingyu stood closely with Hyunra, way too closely and yet she seemed fine with it. But I wasn't, I wanted to go up and pretend barge in Mingyu.

But I didn't.

He then pointed at something on her face and he daringly pulled her loose strand of hair behind her ear.

I calmed myself down and continued to stalk them. None illegally.

HYUNRA POV

"Don't make it so obvious that you know, but Jeonghan is actually following us." Mingyu told me.

I couldn't help but chuckle when I glanced behind my shoulder sneakily.

"You right." I laughed out loud this time with him.

"Let's tease him a little bit. Do as I say." Mingyu said. I nodded at him.

A prank back at him wouldn't be so bad, would it?

But I didn't expect it when Mingyu stepped closer to me, we were literally touching each other. He then pointed at a loose strand of hair and tucked it behind my ears for me.

He didn't seem to notice what he has done again and my face was definitely a shade of red. Or... was this the kind of 'tease' he mentioned?

Mingyu suddenly held my hand and starting walking. I didn't know how tp react at all. I just walked stiffly beside him while he held my hand.

What am I supposed to do when a guy holds my hand? Seungcheol always told me to chop off their hands if they ever make a move on me but I don't think I wanna do that.

I tried to compose myself and hoped that my hands weren't sticky or sweaty.

I then suddenly felt weight in the little gap between me and Mingyu.

"Heyyy, what are you guys doing? Great to see you out here suddenly." Jeonghan's voice broke the silence and my smile.

JEONGHAN POV

What? Did they get together without me knowing or what? They were freaking holding hands.

I'm sorry, not sorry. But I've got to ruin the mood before it escalates down even further.

I ran and jumped in between them casually. "Heyyy, what are you guys doing?" I sounded kinda dumb.

Their hands broke free and Mingyu stared at me while Hyunii looked away.

Sigh, is she still mad at me? I shouldn't have done such an immature prank. She looked so frightened, she looked like that time when her step-sister...

I slapped myself, stopping my from thinking such thoughts. Mingyu and Hyunra looked at me weirdly.

"We were just going for a walk. What are you doing here? We kind of saw you with your rumoured girlfriend." Mingyu said while Hyunra nodded.

Ah... Hyunra must know by now too. I need to fix the problem.

"Whatever, I'm free now, let me tag along. And she's not my girlfriend." I said, hoping they'll believe me.

I saw Hyunra smiling just a slight tiny little but before showing a poker face.

HYUNRA POV

She's not his girlfriend?

I felt somewhat relieved and I couldn't control my small smile before I calmed myself down again.

Honestly, I still haven't figured out why I felt this way.

I couldn't think of any better way to end the story as my brain wasn't functioning well 😂~~
