Peter's POV

As soon as the elevator doors opened, I ran inside.

Natasha, Clint, and Steve stood up when they saw me run in. "Peter, are you okay?" I turned to see all three of them looking at me, concerned.

"My friend. . . She was hurt. Mr. Stark brought  her here. I have. . . I have to see her." I said out of breath.

Natasha walked towards me, followed by Captain Rogers and Clint. "Peter, you should sit down." Captain said leading me to the couch.

"Peter, honey. It's going to be okay. Your friend is going to be alright." Natasha said kneeling in front of me.

"It's my fault," my voice broke.

"What are you talking about, Peter? What happened?" Clint asked.

"This guy cornered me and when he shot his gun, I dodged it but. . . It hit her instead. It's my fault. I shouldn't have dodged." I said putting my head in my hands.

"Peter, it's not your fault. It was an accident. I'm sure she doesn't blame you." Natasha said.

"Peter, everything is going to be okay." Clint said sitting next to me.

"It should've been me. Not her. She doesn't deserve this. I can't lose her. I just can't. She. . . Y/N means the world to me. I. . . I love her." I said quietly. Natasha, Clint, and Steve looked at each other before looking back at me sadly.

"Kid," I turned to see Mr. Stark walk in. I instantly stood up, running towards him.

"Where is she??" I panicked. "Is she okay? Please. Please tell me she is okay." I couldn't stop the tears from streaming down my cheeks.

"Peter," he whispered putting his hands on my shoulders. "She's sleeping." I physically relaxed.

"She's okay?" I felt the weight lift off my shoulders as he nodded.

"I'll take you to her."

The walk to Y/N was excruciatingly slow. When we got to the hospital wing, Mr. Stark stopped outside a room.

"Is this her's?"

He nodded. I reached for the door knob but he stopped me. "Listen, kid. She is okay but she lost a lot of blood. We got her a blood transfusion so she should be on her feet in a couple of days. She just barely woke up so she might be a little weak. Do you want me to call her parents?"

"What are you going to tell them?" I asked slowly.

He thought about it for a second before replying, "I'll make something up." With that he started to walk away.

"Mr. Stark?" I called, causing him to turn around. "Thank you." He just nodded.

I slowly opened to door, trying not to wake her. "Y/N." My heart stopped when I saw her laying on the hospital bed. I quietly pulled a chair up to the side of her bed.

"I am so sorry, Y/N. This is all my fault. If I hadn't dodged that bullet. . . It should have been me." I put my head in my hands and let the tears fall.

"Peter?" I jumped as I heard my name being called, softly.

"Y/N? I'm here. I'm here, baby." I saw her beautiful Y/E/C eyes looking at me. "Y/N! I am so sorry! It should have been me."

"Shhh, Peter don't talk like that. It wasn't your fault. I'm okay."

I took her right hand in both of mine. "I was suppose to protect you. I failed." I felt her gently put her other hand on my cheek.

"Peter, look at me." I slowly obeyed. "It's not your fault. You didn't fail me, Peter. You saved me.  You saved me, Spider-Man." She pulled me down to her and pressed her lips to mine.

When we pulled away, I pressed my forehead to hers. "We still have a lot to talk about," I whispered.

"We sure do, Parker."
