Y/N is the most beautiful, talented, kindest girl in the world. If you are lucky enough to be her friend, you are the luckiest kid in the world.

I looked over to see her quietly doing her homework. Her face scrunched as she concentrated.

"Dude," I jumped when I felt something hit my head. I turned to see Ned laughing.

"What?" I hissed.

"You're staring," he laughed. I picked up the eraser he threw at me and threw it back at him. "Why don't you just talk to her?"

"What? Are you crazy? I can't talk to her. She's. . . She's Y/N. She's smart and beautiful and amazing. And I'm. . . Me."

Before he could respond, the bell rang. I looked to see Y/N putting her homework in her backpack and standing up to leave. As I left school, I watched Y/N jog down the front steps, a few feet in front of me.

I quickly ducked into an alleyway and changed into my suit. I shot a web across the street and landed on top of a building. I looked through the crowded streets, looking for her.

A smile formed on my lips as I saw her nodding her head to music as she made her way through the busy streets of Queens. I watched as she headed towards her piano lesson.

I landed on top of the building her lesson was being held in. The window was open allowing me to hear her start to play. I watched as her fingers danced across the keys, smiling at how talented she was. I could hear her humming along as she played.

I resisted applauding as the melody came to an end. She smiled as her teacher praised her. I felt as if I was under a spell as she started to play another song. The lesson went on like that. Her playing beautifully, her teacher praising her, giving a few critiques, and her playing another song.

I lost myself as I heard her start to sing. Her voice echoed off the small apartment walls. She was like a siren with her voice so bewitching it could capture any man and make him fall in love with her.

As she left her lesson, I followed her as she got a coffee and headed towards the bookstore.

I sat on the building across from the bookstore and watched as she dragged her fingers across the books' spines, smiling as she went from book to book.

An hour later she left with three new books in her arms. I swung from building to building, watching out for her. I watched the people around her, narrowing my eyes if I saw a potential threat to her life. I checked every alley she passed to make sure no one was waiting for her.

We were almost to her apartment when I heard a crash, causing me to look away from Y/N. As I looked back, my eyes widened when I couldn't find her. My heart sped up as I scanned the crowd. I quickly made my way over to where I last saw her.

"Pretty girls like you shouldn't be walking the streets alone. Especially at this time of night." I got angry as I saw a man holding Y/N against a wall.

"Please," she whispered tears streaming down her cheeks. He moved her hair behind her shoulder and smirked.

"We are going to have so much fun," he said whispering in her ear.

"Just let me go." She said closing her eyes.

"No can do, sweetheart. I have a thirst only you can cure."

"Hey!" I yelled, stopping him from putting his lips on her neck.

They both looked at me with different expressions on their faces. He looked at me with anger and annoyance while she looked at me scared.

"Get away from her!"

"Go find you're own bitch to go fu.."

Before he could finish his sentence, I shot a web, grabbing his shoulders and threw him off of her. I stood in front of her, protectively.

He lifted his arm to punch me,but I quickly shot a web and caught his fist. He raised the other hand, but I caught that in a web too.  I shot another web, sticking him to the wall with both hands above his head.

"Son of a bitch!" The man yelled, trying to free himself. "I'm going to kill you. After I kill you, I'm gonna find her and I'm going to. . ."

Before he could explain what he was going to do to Y/N, I shot a web at his mouth, shutting him up. I turned around to ask Y/N if she was okay and my heart broke. As I fought the man Y/N had slid her back down the wall and pulled her knees to her chest.

I ran over and knelt in front of her. She jumped when I gently put my hand on her shoulder. "It's just me. It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you." She looked at me as tears continued to roll down her cheeks. I reached up and caught a tear with my gloved hand.

"Are you okay?" I asked softly. She nodded. Her hands were shaking as I helped her stand up. We stood like that for a while, my hands on her waist and her hands on my shoulders.

"Do you want me to take you home?" I asked after a few minutes of silence.

"Yes, please." She said softly.

"I'm not going to hurt you, Y/N. I promise." She leaned her head against my shoulder as I pulled her into my chest. "Hold on tight," I whispered as I shot a web across the street.

I kept my arm wrapped around her tightly as I swung us from building to building. Soon, we were on her fire escape.

When we stopped moving she lifted her head and looked around. "How. . . How did you know where I live?"

"I ummm. . . Well I. . ."

"Do you watch me?" She said with a hint of a smile.

"I prefer to call it protect you."

I turned to go but stopped when Y/N grabbed my wrist. "Wait." I turned around to see her looking at our hands still intertwined. "You didn't let me say thank you." She looked up at me and bit her lip like she was debating something.

I froze when she took a step towards me. My breath hitched in my throat as she reached up and pulled the end of my mask up. She stopped at my nose. Her hands stayed on my face as she pulled me down to her. I felt her lips gently touch mine.

My arms snaked around her waist, deepening the kiss. She wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me closer to her. I pulled away breathless.

"Thank you," she whispered. She looked at me in a way that made me debate pulling my mask down and showing her it was me. Before I could decide, she pulled my mask back down.

I took a step back and got ready to leave. "You're still going to watch over me, right?" I turned and saw her playing with her hands. She looked up at me, waiting for my answer.

"Always."
