Chapter 8
Angel in Disguise
I ran to a park were no one can find me, not even fans who were following me for about an hour. I forgot my phone so I don’t know how Tao is doing. “This is all messed up!” I said to myself as I sat by the river. “Tao messed it up. If he wasn’t curious for my full identity he wouldn’t be in what he is now, and I wouldn’t know that Lay is a werewolf and live happily and till someone say the magic words or have an iron rod run through my heart.” I sighed. “I wish non of this happened!! I’m really scared to know what will happen next.”
“Don’t fear the future.”
I shot my head up. “Huh?”
“Everything happens for a reason.”
I stood up. ‘There it is again.’ An angelic melodious voice said.
“Don’t fear anything for you’re not alone. For every mortal and immortal lives on earth have their own guardian angel.” The voice became clear and so did the lights. Not far away from where I’m standing; stood a very beautiful girl. She turned around and smiled.
‘Those eyes. Those glowing blue eyes. I knew this girl wasn’t a human, but an angel in disguise.’ I thought but nothing escaped my mouth but her name. “G-Gaia~” I can see hear features clearly than yesterday. Light tan skin and long black hair, her face was small and so was me smiley mouth. She was beautiful, beautiful than SNSD’s Yoona herself or any other beauty queen on earth. Gaia … is an angel in disguise.
“My heart see that you’re not fine and I know why. One of your friends is in pain. The other happened to be an enemy. You have mixed up feelings and thought but never worry for if you do what is right you’ll always have your steady heart full of light.” She said.
“What? How do you know?” I asked.
“For every mortal and immortal lives on earth have their own guardian angel, even if you never knew their existence. I was always watching over you Kris.” Bright light flew around her as she transformed from a human disguise into her true angelic form. White skin, long light blue hair, her eyes stayed the same, large light grey wings spread afar. I never knew I’ll ever see an angel in their true form.
‘Still … why would an angel want to guard a demon?’ I asked myself.
“You are not a demon.” Did she read my mind? “You’re an immortal just like I am but born in the shadows but that doesn’t mean you can’t be a good vampire and save other humans or your kind.”
“I don’t believe I'm a good vampire. I made a human go through pain to become a vampire … and ... I don’t know-“
“You followed a law provided by the greatest vampires. You did nothing wrong. Tao’s wish was to be a vampire.”
“Wish?” The reason he made me say my identity was to make me fulfill his wish? That idiot!!
“It was his wish.” Gaia nodded. “He knows it’s hard to be a vampire but did believe that he will go through a lot of pain. Right now he is still in pain and my mother is casting healing air to calm his pain. They won’t be able to see her. Tao won't be able to see here but she's there.”
“Then how can I see you?” I became really puzzled. But, I believe my question was to soon because the angel began to fade.
“Go back to Tao, he needs you. And remember that I’ll be always watching over you. Until then~” She faded away.
“No wait! Come back!!”
I reached my arms to her and … I opened my eyes. ‘I was … dreaming?’
“Are you alright?” A sweet voice asked.
“Angel!” I immediately stood up when I saw Gaia’s face. “I mean Gaia.” I corrected myself.
“You gave me quite a scare. You were sitting her in the middle of the park and I accidentally stepped on you when I was going back home. I’m sorry, are you alright?” She asked.
“Yes.” I answered. Looking clear at her she still have angelic features but not in an angel form.
“Can you please stop staring at my face? It’s starting to bother me!” She giggled.
“Do you happen to be … an angel?” I asked. I don’t know why though.
“We all have guardian angels but I don’t believe I am one.” She replied. “I was born blind with blue eyes. I never saw anything but my heart saw everything. I’m grateful for everything!”
‘Not an angel but a human. But why did I see her as an angel in my dream? Well explain her personality and beauty. Human or not, she’s an angel in my eyes.’ I stood up and help her up. “How about I carry you home?” I offered.
“Oh no. I don’t want to trouble you!” She said.
I rolled my eyes and bent down. “Don’t worry about. Just jump on my back and relax the whole way.” She nodded and did as she was told. She wasn’t heavy at all. “Let’s go.” I felt something weird in my heart. Not pain. Not fear. But something I’ve never felt before. ‘Well whatever it is, one point for me and zero points for Lay. He said we don’t have feelings. We may not have a beating heart but we do know sadness, happiness, anger, ect.'
