Allen's heart felt light as the car pulled up to the main house. It had been almost three weeks since he left. He entered the large foyer and spotted his mother walking down the stair case as her gaze was directed behind her, "Lilly dear! Hurry or we'll be late for your therapy!" Vivian gasped as she spotted her son smiling at the bottom of the stairs. "Hello son."
Allen rushed up to his mother and hugged her. He looked down at her bulging tummy and smiled. "Is Marcus Jr. ready to come out."
Vivian slapped his arm, "Allen you don't know if it's a boy or girl."
Allen look up the stairs as he saw Lilly bouncing down. She stopped when she caught his gaze. "Hello Lilly." Lilly smiled and waved. Allen's smile was immediately gone when he noticed the bruises on her neck. He turned to Vivian, "Is there something you should tell me?"
Vivian sighed, "Your father will fill you in. I'm sorry to leave you but we have an appointment that we must keep. We will be back in about two hours."
Lilly quickly tried to rush past Allen, but was stopped as he lightly grabbed her arm. Lilly's eyes slowly cut to his. There was still some red in them. Allen released her without saying anything. Lilly proceeded out with her mother. Allen charged up the stairs to his fathers office.
Marcus heard a knock at his door, "Come in."
Allen slowly opened the door and eased in, "What happened to Lilly?"
Marcus was surprised by his sons arrival, "Cut right to tha chase, don't we?"
Allen charged to his desk, "Who did it? Why? Why didn't you tell me?"
Marcus shook his head, "Its been taken care of."
Allen squinted, "Who."
Marcus drove Allen to a warehouse with three guards at the gate. As they walked in, Allen noticed it was pretty much empty except for a solitary chair with restraints. Marcus clicked his fingers and started to roll up his sleeves. Allen stood silently as two men dragged a bloody Caleb into view. Allen noticed the man had a bloody blindfold over his eyes. The two men strapped him in the chair. "Well Caleb, what's it going to be today?"
Caleb stuttered out of fear, "Please let me go. I'm sorry for what I did."
Marcus picked up a aluminum baseball bat and slammed Caleb's right wrist. Caleb bucked in pain. Marcus did the left next. "Well let's see, I took your eyes, took you knees, now your wrist. Guess I'll save the rest for tomorrow."
Caleb sobbed, "I'm sorry!"
Marcus rushed to Caleb and pulled his head back, " Maybe I should take your voice like you took my Lilly's, but you know; your screams is music to my ears. Ears.. now that's something I can save for tomorrow. See you later Caleb."
Caleb started to scream as the two men unstrapped him. Allen followed Marcus back to his car, "I'm sorry you had to see that."
Allen turned to Marcus with a blank face, "May I take his ears?"
Marcus smiled, "Happy early fucking birthday son."
Allen chuckled.
