"Gone! What the hell do you mean gone?" Vivian was pulled away from the security guards face by Marcus.

"Ma'am, she left during a shift change. We watched on the security tape where she obtained some unclaimed clothes. After that, she left from the east side of the hospital."

Vivian shook her head as she shrugged her hands in the air, "And that's all ya got? No witnesses or search party? Why was she not on suicide watch?"
Marcus again pulled his wife away from the annoyed security guard.

Luciano was leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets. Vivian was ready to take her anger out on something or someone else. "Well.. I hope your happy. If you had left her alone, she wouldn't be in this state of mind." Luciano slowly moved his eyes to a beautiful but angry Vivian.

"Well my dear, your right. If everyone had left her alone and mind their own damn business, she would have been home with me all these years and not with the likes of you!" Luciano's face was blank but his voice was stern.

Vivian had tears in her eyes, "Why didn't you take care of her in the first place? The condition that she was in, was sickening. She was the mother. No one cared if she lives or died if we hadn't took her."

Luciano looked down as he spoke with his hand, "My wife, had a hit on her mother. She fled due to fear. She got in with the wrong crowd while she was pregnant. I couldn't find her. I... I tried. I loved her mother, but I was already married, it was a deal with another rival. If I could go back with what I know now, I promise you, things would have been different."

Vivian walked up next to the now crying man, "We have all failed her. Please, work with us. I want our little girl back."

Luciano silently nodded and shook her hand.

Lilly awoke from someone gently nudging her, "Miss? Are you alright?"

Lilly sat up as she rubbed her sleepy eyes. She looked up at the sweet woman and smiled. She eased her note pad out and wrote, "Yes, ma'am. I just arrived. Do you know where there is a shelter?"

The lady read as she silently moved her lips and smiled, "Well, sure honey! It's on my way home. It's a woman's only, so you should be safe. Follow me."

Lilly eased off of the bench and happily followed. She sighed with relief, once they arrived. "I'm, Martha. Here is my card. If you ever need anything, just come and see me."

Lilly hugged her new friend and checked into the shelter. She would be medically examined tomorrow as security procedures for the other tenants. She slightly dreaded it, but shook it away. This was her only safe place now.
