Chapter 11

Shaylie's POV

Ross invited me over for a movie night. I was pretty excited about it since Ross and I were movie/cuddling buddies. Whenever we watched movies we would always cuddle since Riker and Rose were dating, Rydel and Ratliff, and Rocky always ended up finding a girl. Ryland didn't like the fact of having a girl with you cuddling watching a movie. He kind of liked to be by himself, but no one understood why. I was smiling until from the second I picked up the phone to the second Ross told me he had to invite Laura. My face dropped but I maintained a cheerful voice. Rose walked back in after I hung up with Ross. "Riker invited me over for a movie night!" She sang as she walked into the room. "Same! Except it was Ross, not Riker!" I laughed. Rose was my best friend so she could see right through me. "What's wrong?" She asked. "W-what? Nothing's wrong. What makes you think that?" "Shaylie, I'm your best friend. I can see your feelings before you show them." She stated. "Ugh, fine!" I whined, "Ross is invited Laura over for the movie." "Why is that bad? He's dating her." She said. "Wellll," I dragged out the 'l' "whenever Ross and I would watch movies we would always cuddle, ever since we were little, even though I liked Tyler and he liked Laura. And leading into what I was going to tell you, I like Ross, I think. I'm not sure. I mean I like Tyler a lot, but there is something about Ross that just keeps me smiling, I don't know. Ugh! It feels so good to finally tell someone!" Her mouth dropped. "W-what?" was all she could say. "Sorry I didn't tell you earlier. I figured my feelings would go away." I finally got out. "We don't have to go to the Lynch's tonight if you don't want to." She said. "No, no, no! I want too! Believe me! I can hang out with Rocky and Ryland!" "Oh thank god!" I heard her say before her arms wrapped around my body. "I really wanted to go!" She laughed. We got ready to go to the movie and then we arrived for dinner. When dinner was over we walked downstairs, I ended up being last. I looked around at all the couples cuddling. "Well, I hope you guys are comfy! I should have invited a guy for me!" I laughed and went to go sit on the ground until I heard Rocky's voice stopping me. I looked over at him and he pointed to the seat that happened to be right against his body and told me to sit there. I didn't deny it. It was a good way to get Ross jealous! I sat down next to him and he put his arm around my shoulders and grabbed a hold of my hand and kissed the top of my head. If it was Ross who did that, I'd get up and move my seat but then eventually move back. I looked over at Ross and Laura and caught Ross already staring. He pulled Laura closer to him and I moved ever so slightly toward Rocky so he didn't notice, but Ross could. The movie was over and I was going to head home and I told Rose to meet me whenever. "Wait!" I heard Rydel say. "Yeah?" I turned around. "We were going to play spin the bottle." Rocky smirked. "Why would you guys do that? You all have girlfriends or boyfriends?" I asked. "Just for fun!" Riker said. "It doesn't mean anything, we all know that!" Ross added. "Please stay!" Rose and Ryland begged. "Ugh! Fine!" I rolled my eyes and we all sat down. They told me I had to spin first because I was the hardest to get to play. I agreed and spun. Next thing I know I'm looking in Ross's eyes because that's where the bottle landed. "How long are these kisses supposed to be?" I questioned, starting to blush. "Between 15-20 seconds." Riker smirked. "Riker! You're bad!" I laughed and looked back at Ross with scared eyes.
