Chapter 24

Shaylie's POV
I woke up the next morning and texted Tyler.
To: Tylerrr(:
Hey, I've been having a crappy few days. Can we hang out and cuddle?(;
I pressed send and almost right away got a text back.
From: Tylerrr(:
Sorry baby, but I can't. I have family stuff right up until school starts.:(
To: Tylerrr(:
It's okay. Let me know when you want to hang out(:
*3 DAYS LATER; First day of school.*
Carter and I went to school together even though I was mad at him. He told me that he didn't like me dating Tyler and I was mad at him for it. Rose met us at school. I saw Tyler so I waved but he was Elizabeth. He waved back to me but looked away. "Are you going to go talk to Tyler?" Rose asked and I saw Carter roll his eyes. "No, maybe later. He's with Elizabeth." I look over at Tyler again and I saw him kiss Elizabeth. Tears start forming in my eyes but I don't let them slip. I walk into the school and head straight for the bathroom. Rose is chasing after me while Carter is going up to Tyler. I didn't stop him or wait for Rose because I didn't care about anything. I pulled my phone out from my back pocket.
To: Delly babe<3
HELP ME! PLEASE COME PICK ME UP!
I pressed send and looked in the mirror and wiped away my tears. I looked over and Rose was standing there with tears in her eyes while mine were pouring out of my eyes. I felt my phone vibrate so I pulled out of the hug Rose pulled me into and read it.
From: Delly babe<3
Wait, what happened? Is everything okay? I'm on my way!
To: Delly babe<3
I'll explain when you come get me!
"Who are you texting?" Rose asked. "I'm having Delly pick me up. I can't do this." I said between sobs. "You know Carter went to Tyler to talk to him, they might have had a fight." Rose looked towards the ground. "R-really? Tyler is going to kill him!" My heart stopped for a minute. "Delly just texted me saying she's here. I'm going to go, have a good day. I'll talk to you and Carter later. Bye!" I hugged her so tight and ran through the halls and out to Delly's car. "Thank you so much Delly!" I said with tears still streaming down my face. I looked over to see Delly in the back seat and Ross driving. "What happened? He said wiping the tears from my face. "What are you doing here?" I half smiled. "Rydel told me that you were upset and you needed to leave so I begged her to take me and I got to drive." He said smiling. "So what happened?" Rydel piped in. "T-Tyler c-cheated on m-me." I said playing with my feet. "What?" Ross almost screamed and stopped the car. "Don't say I told you so, don't say anything. I was stupid and I don't know why I thought he would ever like me. Everybody told me he was bad news but I wouldn't listen. Don't say anything, please." I cried. "I'm not going to say anything." Ross said quietly and started the car again. He intertwined out fingers while he was driving but Delly didn't notice. "We will talk more when we get to my house." Rydel said from the back. "No one told Ratliff right?" "No, only I know." Ross said. We pulled up to the Lynch's and Ross got out and hugged me. I cried into his shoulder and he just pulled me closer than before. We broke from the hug and Rydel pulled me up into her room before anyone noticed I was here. "So, full story." Rydel asked. "Tyler hasn't been hanging out with me because he had 'family stuff' but he was apparently hooking up with Elizabeth. I got out of the car with Carter and Rose met up with us. I waved to Tyler and he waved back. I looked away to talk to Rose and I looked back and he was kissing her. I ran to the bathroom and texted you. Rose was following me and Carter went over to Tyler and then you picked me up." I tried so hard not to cry. "And why did you have to bring Ross? I didn't want him to see me like this, especially because he knew Tyler was going to do this to me." "I'm sorry Shay! He wanted to come and he wouldn't let me leave until I took him. I'm really sorry." She hugged me so tight and I hugged her back. "You know we are going to have to tell Ratliff soon right?" She pulled away. "Yeah, I want to wait until 'school is over'." I laughed a little bit. "Is he over right now?" "I don't think so." She said. "Can we go watch a movie?" "Of course!" She smiled. We walked down into the screening room and saw Riker, Rocky, Ryland and Ratliff all watching a movie. "Shit." I muttered.
