I had saw this band in my local paper is upcoming shows, so I checked them out. They were pretty good and I asked if I could go to the show. My parents said yes, and I went with my cousin, Jake.
The first band that opened was Mallory Run. I had briefly listened to them before the show, but not much. I liked them.
Then I believe Long Run played, and they were pretty cool as well. Their drummer is pretty short, so he said "This song is shorter than me." before a song, which I thought was so funny. I enjoyed them.
Then Pure Heel played, and it was definitely a change of mood. Literally. They were a screaming band, and the vocalist was bumping into people standing in the front. I'm down for screaming, but it's not my go-to music choice. Although I have respect for anyone in the music business that's playing and booking gigs.
Up next was Heart Attack Man. They weren't a famous band by any means, and there wasn't many people there anyways, but there was enough to call it a crowd. They played amazingly, and they brought in the lights off of their album cover:
They had never played in my city before too, which was pretty cool. I actually met the Mom of the lead vocalist before the show, which was funny. When they started playing I was so drawn in. They played Funhouse Mirror and Cool Kids Table for the first time ever, and those are some of my favorite songs by them. It felt good being one of the people to hear hear songs live for the first time, ever.
I had a good time throughout them playing and got some cool pictures and videos. After they were done, I got a group picture with the whole band, bought the CD and vinyl of The Manson Family, and got a picture with 2/3 members of the Long Run. I was really happy I got to meet them.
