Mikhail's POV

After the dawn prayer, she fell back into sleep. She let me cuddle her while I wrap my arms around her, listening to her even breathing. I stayed awake until the sun light broke through the windows, indicating that the sun's already high up.

Wow, I didn't even notice the time pass by. I guess that happens when you spend it with the person who's important to you. And in this case, Kenzie, my wife, my soulmate, my destiny.

I couldn't resist myself when I started planting kisses on the side of her neck.

This stirred her awake, turning to face me. "What are you doing?" She asked with a slight smile on her face.

"Good morning to you, too," I said, dropping a kiss on her cheek.

She shook her head in disbelief. I bet she's wondering if she's just imagining things.

"We should get up early, Mama's coming home today. I still have to clean the whole house so she could be comfortable here. Then, we'll go to the hospital to help them pack up," she said. She tried to wriggle away from me but my fortress of arms and legs were too strong for her.

"Few more minutes," I said in a sleepy voice.

"What? You sounded more like the one who just woke up than me. You should have went back to sleep too," she pointed out.

"I couldn't sleep afraid you'll be gone by the time I wake up."

That deserved a round of applause.

She looked at me with furrowed eyebrows. "Whaaaaaat? What in the world was that all about?"

"Admit it, your heart faltered..." I teased.

"My heart cringed!" She rectified, her tone of voice rising.

"Ouch, you've hurt my feelings, Ice Queen," I said, faking pain. I let go of her, lying completely on my back.

"It's so cringe-worthy. I think I should clean my ears," she said, faking a shudder. "Are you really this mushy?"

I stared at the ceiling. "Are you really this mean?" I threw back at her.

She broke into a laughter. "Aww, you can actually be this cute, huh, Mikhail Ibrahim?"

I turned my back on her, still at my sulking mode. "Forget it. You won't ever hear that again."

Well, for the record, I really thought girls like those kind of cheesy lines. It had worked last night, right?

"Oh, come on," said her. "Are you serious?" She threw her arm around me to appease the hurt feelings. She peeked at my expression, her hair falling around us like curtains.

"That was really so cheesy. Be careful not to say that when someone just woke up, really," she advised.

I took her by surprise, when I sprang from my position and flipped us so that she's now under me. She let out a scream at the surprise. "Especially if that someone is you?" I asked, smirking.

"Particularly me," she agreed as she reached up to caress my face. "But that's still negotiable. I might get used to it."

"Oh, you'll get used to it. I have a lot of cringeworthy lines in store that you'd surely learn to love," I bragged.
