Lily POV
My heart was racing. Noel had just taken the stage for her dance. She was so graceful and gorgeous. Madame Giry sat in the audience with Meg by her side. Madame Giry was smirking at Noel's performance, watching her every move ever so carefully. Mr Johnson sat next to Meg, watching his daughter in awe. Noel had improved so much with Madame's help.
"Lily your next, are you ready?" I heard the sweet voice of Ms Allen say behind me.
"Yes" i whispered my voice cracking.
"You'll be amazing. I know it. You have the voice of a little angel" she said smiling warmly. The crowd then erupted in massive applause and cheers. Noel curtsied and exited the stage. She ran to me and hugged me tightly jumping up and down in excitement.
"I did it!" She said smiling with excitement.
"You were marvelous, absolutely stunning!" I said.
"And you will be too. Good luck" she said hurrying off to see her other friends. My breath was shaky. Ms Allen took her place at the piano as my accompaniment. She gave me a nod and I walked on to the stage my heart almost pounding out of my chest.

Erik POV
Noels dance was in a word.... exquisite. She was almost flawless. She had a few moves that could have been a bit sharper but I only saw this because of all the years i had watched Madame Giry star pupils dancing at the opera house. There was a brief break between acts, my angel was next. I saw a young woman approach the piano. She was rather beautiful, with reddish brown hair, and a radiant smile.
"That's Ms Allen. She's so nice" Ramin said in a whisper. I nodded acknowledging what he had said.
Lily then approached the stage. She looked beautiful but had a look of fear in her eyes. She looked up at the boxes, she was trying to find me. The room was complete silence. She wasn't going to sing until she saw me. It was too dark she didnt see me in the shadows of my box. There was only one thing to do.
"Sing for me, my angel of music!" I yelled my voice booming through the theater. The others there gasped in surprise. She seemed shocked by my outburst. She followed my voice to meet my gaze. She then saw my dark figure in the box. She smiled at me, I gave her a nod to begin. All the fear began to fade away, she stood tall now, shoulders back and head held high. The familiar beginning of the song rang through the theater. She closed her eyes and began,

Think of me, think of me fondly
When we've said goodbye
Remember me, once in a while
Please, promise me you'll try
When you find that once again you long
To take your heart back and be free
If you ever find a moment
Spare a thought for me
We never said "our love was evergreen"
Or "as unchanging as the sea"
But if you can still remember,
Stop and think of me
Think of all the things

"She's extraordinary" I heard Ramin mutter. She truly was.

We've shared and seen
Don't think about the
Things which might have been
Think of me, think of me waking
Silent and resigned
Imagine me trying too hard
To put you from my mind
Recall those days, look back on all those times
Think of the things we'll never do
There will never be a day
When I won't think of you

Then before my eyes, my little girl transmitted before my eyes, not into an angel but into a young woman...
Over the years her voice grew stronger and more powerful than ever.
