Zoe's P.O.V

The Hydra headquarters went down fast considering our progress. Just seeing Luke kill that bartender set us straight. He chose us for a reason which I thought I now knew. It was to show our true power. I started noticing it when we drove to that building that all the Hydras had to report too. I started feeling it moving within me, the power of Nyx.

I couldn't believe after centuries and generations the power was still in me. I mean it was about ninety years ago. How could I still feel it? How could we still have it? Storming that building it started taking control. I could tell Luke was noticing the way he started staring at my eyes. As if they were like Death's.

When I wasn't thinking about Nyx I was thinking about Death. Seeing The Remnants base put things in perspective for me. I didn't realise the responsibility Death had. He always seemed like a player. Actually he still was a player, but he had a lot of baggage on his shoulders.

I wasn't going to lie. Hearing that Persephone, Hades wife, was in a girl which Death knew, hurt me. They were already destined to be together. A part of me blamed me. Him coming to the party had messed him up so he resorted to his player ways. That hurt me even more. I was falling for him.

I pictured him in my head. That glowing embrace, imperfect face, dark eyes, just the way he held himself. It was totally different from at school. There he was depressed or gave off the vibe that said alone. It looked as if he was trying to be a bad boy. Here he was one. A freaking bad god. Now he was somewhere out there, fighting.

I listened to the radio; the song making me think. He was too closed off, too alone. He needed someone to hold him. It's funny because this all came from Bebe Rexha.

Then there was Psyche. She just pissed me off. The way Luke made her the chosen one and how she was facing the mythological creatures out there. I was now fully determined to find Death first.

"We're here. The founder's mansion." He said.

I pulled my gun up and was out even before the car stopped. With power surging through me, I pushed the door down shooting every person that was in the way. We were outside again in five minutes, the building in fire, both teams looking exhausted. We had been going at it over a day now and the adrenaline wasn't enough anymore.

"They weren't inside. The founder's moved." Gabriel said.

"There must be another place, Luke." Andrew asked.

"No there is no other place...wait, I remember this one place. When I just got into this business, they told me if I did good then I'd visit there. It's located the opposite direction of the city." Luke told us. I wasn't the best at geography, but I was good enough to figure out...

"Wait, the opposite direction? The Cross?" I asked.

"Actually you're right. It's just before your house. I'll lead." Luke said and grabbed the keys.

We filed into the cars and were soon speeding down to The Cross. Home. This was soon going to end. Hopefully, Psyche found Death and this would officially stop. But my job was to take down the dangers of the Hydras and that meant taking down the founders.

Now don't get me wrong, I did feel a bit of remorse and regret but I figured it was better not to think about the people I kill. And the fact that I'm a killer. Yeah, all of the above would drive me insane.

We drove past a lot of wreckage and...cheering? Yeah believe it. People all around us were cheering and cleaning the wreckage and piles of dust in the streets. Luke didn't stop to look though everybody else were looking at the weird sight.

Then Luke stopped the car and we all got out. I stared at the huge building. It was massive, and I stood by the entrance cranking my neck to see the logo. It had three torches glowing as the afternoon sun went down.

"Follow me." Luke ordered.

We walked through the doors to find the first floor completely empty. Broken columns and fracture lines lined up and down the walls. A battle was fought here. Luke picked up an arrow wedged into the wall and then looked at me.

"Psyche is here." He told me.

I shouldered my gun and pointed towards the elevator.

"We're looking for danger, right? So let's take the elevator." I told them.

There were two elevators, so we spilt into two groups, each filling an elevator. We slowly ascended. Then it happened.

Blinding white light encompassed us. Suddenly we were all together. Black figures appeared and ascended on us. And then I blacked out.
