"I see my hole is still there." I said, staring at the hole that could still be seen from this distance. Hades felt on edge knowing that all of his responsibilities were running wild out there.

"Yeah, when are you going to close that thing?" Psyche asked. She still hadn't opened the box and was now holding it gingerly.

I ran my hand through my mini afro. "The hellhounds and ghouls aren't a problem. Once they hear that Death is up and angry, they'll return but it's the ghosts and the dark gods."

"Wait, dark gods?" She asked incredulously before shaking her head. "We just came back from finishing off The Hydras and making sure they're out of the city. The city is finally back on its feet considering that the hole is still there."

I reached for my car keys, hoping they were here. First things first, I'm going to get a change of clothes and cut my hair. Psyche saw this and jumped up, protesting.

"I'm fine, Psyche. Plus you don't want to spend your birthday at a hospital. Also, I stink." I gave her a smile, and she smiled back.

"You do stink." she responded.

"Really, out of all that me stinking is what you got?" I asked.

She got up and put the box into her bag. "What can I say? You stinking is a good point."

I sighed and grabbed her arm, pulling her into me and slipping into the shadows.

Hell yes, Hades yelled. I could feel our strength pooling into us like a raging river. It felt amazing to be like this again and Hades was once apart of mind fully.

We slipped out by the former headquarters of the Hydras, more accurately its underground parking. It stood there proud, my blue corvette. I ran my hand over the hood.

"Boys and their cars." Psyche mumbled.

"Hey," I protested. ", this car is my first car and it will always be with me. Girls don't understand that."

"Whatever." she responded. "Where are you taking me anyways?"

"First, I'm not taking you anywhere. I'm going to cut my hair and change my clothes at my home." I told her.

"So, The Remnants headquarters?" I shook my head.

"Oh no, my dear Psyche. We're going to my personal home."

"Psyche..." I said seriously, staring at the road. The corvette hummed along as we made our way to the Pylidium. I could feel her eyes on me. "We are far from done in Aeolus. I am far from done here. I need to find all the ghosts that escaped. I need to close that hole and most importantly I need to find Caitlyn."

"Where do I come in here?" she asked.

"I need you to take care of The Remnants and I need you to keep my secret which is what happened to me." I told her.

"Jake, you don't have to do this alone. I can help-"

"No!" I shouted, cutting her off. "Unless you specialize in Underworld magic like catching the wicked or finding Persephone."

She dropped her head in defeat and after a while she spoke again, "I will do my best."

"Thank you. Now cheer up, we're here." I told her.

She lifted her head and gaped at the house as I pulled into the driveway. She looked so surprised.

"Why are you so surprised?" I asked.

"It's so... simple."

"You were expecting something different?"

"Yes like a mansion."

It definitely was not a mansion. It didn't have other floors just the one. The outside was the main door and porch. Next to the door was a wall. It didn't look impressive.

As we got out Psyche punched me in the soldier. I mean soldier. Ug, shoulder. I can't believe I'm still getting stuck on that. If that wasn't enough the fact that she keeps punching me and me not realizing it means my reflexes aren't, um, reflex-y? Anyways, you get the point.

"Why are you punching me, again might I add?" I rubbed my shoulder dramatically. She rolled her eyes and pointed to the car.

"Why does it look like that?" she said, referring to the car.

"Didn't it always look like that?" I asked, another punch.

"Didn't you say that first cars are important to boys? So how can you not notice that your car looks different?"

"I do, Psyche, I'm kidding. Of course it's different. It happens every year. The car changes to the latest version. Hello, C7." I smirked at my new car.

"It definitely looks better than the one before."I rolled my eyes at her comment.

I walked into the house in a rush. Psyche followed at a slow pace before I turned around and yanked her along with me. She didn't complain as I pulled her into my room. She immediately dived into my cupboard picking my next outfit. I, meanwhile, grabbed the electric shaver, razor and shaving cream. I ran into the bathroom on the way throwing my shirt off and tearing my pants off. In the bathroom (only in my underwear) I ran the hot water into the sink while I ran the electric shaver through my hair. Five minutes later my mini afro was short. I decided I wanted some lines, so I took the number off and cut lines in. I quickly shaved then jumped into the shower, rinsing six months of dirt and shaven hair away. It felt good, and I could tell Hades felt good too. Now all he needed was to find his queen and spend at least a millennium with her. She was too important for me...to me.

I stepped out and threw a new boxer on. I wrapped a towel around my waist for Psyche's sake. I walked into my bedroom to find Psyche laying on my bed. She looked up when I walked in and her eyes skimmed my body. She gave me a smile and held up a hairdryer. I smirked.

I sat down as she brought up a curling iron and started tending to my hair. After a while she was done and immediately she ran her hand through it, messing it up. I rolled my eyes and I got up.

She had picked a black shirt, a red jacket, jeans and black converses. I threw my towel off, not caring what Psyche saw, and I quickly got dressed.

"You sure I can't help you?" she asked once more. I shook my head. Hades was with me on this.

"All I need is me, myself and I."
