Three days later.

"Finn come on!" My mom yelled from downstairs.

I groaned.

"Okay mom!"

No one was at the house right now, and my mom being the protective person she is, decided to bring me along with her to a meeting. What was I supposed to do there?

I shoved my phone into my pocket.

"How long are we going to be there?" I asked, walking down the stairs, intentionally taking my time.

"Not long but it will be if we don't go now." Mom replied.

I sighed as I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"Can I just-"

I said, hoping to make an excuse to stay in the house longer.

Mom tapped her foot impatiently, eyeing me intently.

I could almost hear her scolding me.

"You know,- yeah lets go."

She smiled and we headed out the door and into the car.

"So, where is your meeting exactly?"

I asked, gazing out the window as we passed the trees and neighboring houses.

"Oh, at the office. There's a coffee shop near by so I'll let you wait over there."

I brightened.

"Alright."'

My Mom dropped me off at the curb.

"See you later mom."

I said, waving at the car.

"I'll text you once I'm done!"

She called, waving back.

I nodded and headed over to the small coffe shop around the corner.

It wasn't very fancy, but it had a cozy aura to it. I entered, breathing in the smell of coffee beans. I looked at the menu and ordered a frappe.

Then, I settled down onto a chair at the back. Hm, I think I'll like it here.

After a few minutes of stirring my frappe and listening to the relaxing music, the door opened.

The next thing I knew, I was smiling like a lunatic.

For there stood the one and only, lovely Millie Brown.

Today she was wearing a pair of denim shorts and a white t-shirt with a pocket on the side, while her hair was in pigtails. She looked absultely charming. She always did.

As she carried her tray to a table she caught sight of me. I waved. She of course did the same and flashed me a smile that made my heart aflutter. She took the seat at my table for two.

"I hope you don't mine me accompanying you here." She said, settling her tray down.

"Of course not." I replied.

"So, what brings Ms. 'Prima Ballerina' into this cozy abode?"

She chuckled at the name.

"I usually go here after ballet lessons or when I have nothing to do."

She stirred her frappe then looked up at me.

"Are you new around Oaksville?"

"Yes."

"No wonder. I haven't seen you before."

Then, silence lay between us.

I would say it was a comfortable one, but I'd be lying. Millie seemed alright with it, as she was busy trying to mix the frosting on her frappe.

Then, she abruptly stood up, causing me to stifle a yelp.

"Come on, Sir Finn. I'm going to show you around o'l Oaksville."

I grinned at Mille then followed her outside.

How could I have fallen so hard for a girl that I've only met three days ago?
