I don't usually post chapters here often but this if for @idfcwd because I love her and I might actually get stabbed if I don't put one up so here you go b <3

I zipped up my luggage, then hurriedly dragged it down the staircase and left it by the couch.

"I'll be back in a few Mom! I'm just going to stop by Millie's." I yelled.

"Okay but make sure to come home soon!" She replied.

----

I rung the doorbell of the Brown's.

Millie's older sister, Paige opened it.

"Finn hey! Millie's in the backyard."

"Alright, thanks." I said, entering the house. I slid their backdoor open.

I saw Millie, gardening while humming along to the song that was playing on her record player.

I decided to sneak up on her. Steathily walking up to her, I yelled.

"Boo!"

She jumped a bit, then turned around, giving me a fake glare.

"Why, Finn Wolfhard, I will certainly get you for that."

We both chuckled.

"Why are you so dressed up? You usually go here wearing something casual like shorts or something of the sort."

I raised my eyebrows in surprise and confusion. "I thought we were going to the airport today?"

She cocked her eyebrow at me and smirked, then laughed at me.

"What's so funny?"

She tiptoed to pat my shoulder.

"We're leaving two days from now!"

"O-oh I-"

"Oh Finn. You're so forgetful!"

We both laughed.

I blushed, then scratched the back of my neck.

"Well, I guess I'll be on my way then."

"Wait!"

I turned around.

Millie looked at me, fresh soil staining her face.

"Won't you help me garden?" She stuck out her lower lip pleadingly.S

I chuckled and rolled my eyes playfully.

"Alright."

Her eyes brightened with excitement.

"What are we planting?" I asked her as we crouched down in front of a plant box filled with soil.

"Sunflowers!" She shoved her right hand into her pocket and brought out a packet of seeds.

She carefully ripped open the packaging pouring a few tiny seeds into her palm, then to mine.

"Where do we put them?"

Millie pointed to the little hole in the soil.

I plopped them down carefully, while Millie covered the hole with soil.

"Now what?" I asked, wiping sweat off of my forehead.

"We water it, of course."

I followed Millie to the unwind the hose.

"Here, I'll water them." I suggested. She nodded her head.

At the last second, I turned the hose to Millie, soaking her garden apron.

She looked at me with shock, then a sly smirk played on her lips.

"You are going to get it, Wolfhard."

"Am I, now?"

She grabbed the hose and quickly turned it, spraying my face. I immediately turned it off and chased after Millie.

"I'm going to get you!" I yelled as Millie giggled.

Then, I caught up to her and swept her off her feet. Literally.

She giggled. "Put me down Finn!"

I smirked, pretending to drop her.

"AHH!! Finn I swear-"

I scoffed in fake offense. "Do you think I would actually drop you?"

She rolled her eyes. I put her down.

I looked at the time.

"Well I better be going now."

She nodded in agreement.

Millie lead me to the front door.

"See you around, Finn."

Before I could turn around, Millie went on her tiptoes and kissed my forehead.

"S-see you, Millie."

And there I was. Walking down the streets with my clothes still soaked and my hair a mess. But I didn't care. No, I was to happy. Because of a certain 'Millie Bobby Brown' has come into my life and made everything seem so wonderful.
