~Hye Jin's POV~

I observed as Jimin held the scalpel in his sturdy hands. He wasn't shaking, much to my surprise. I watched with my arms crossed in front of my chest as he cuts through the patient's skin.

"Scissors," he demands, and one of the nurses passed him the tool obediently. He sounded extremely professional, but he hasn't proven himself one yet. I notice his hands weren't trembling, his eyes remained alert, his feet were planted firmly to the ground, stiff straight. Jimin really is taking this seriously.

Should I be scared? No. Why should I?

"Cottonoid," he ordered once again. I focused my eyes on the patient's brain. Jimin had placed them in the perfect spots. But how?

"Lucky it's a minor fracture," Jimin gave out a sigh of relief. I've never seen someone work that fast before. He operated in a matter of seconds, and I could tell that the other doctors and nurses in the room were really impressed too. Especially since Jimin was a newbie, and essentially a trainee for me.

"Dr Kim, please stitch the patient up," I called out to another doctor.

"That's okay, I can do it," Jimin kindly offered. I ignored his words, meant to be helpful but instead inspired hostility, and started storming out of the operating room in anger. That's impossible; he's better than me. I can't let that happen. How...?

"Dr Choi, is everything alright?" I heard a familiar deep voice from the end of the hallway. It's that man again.

"Everything's fine CEO," I slightly bowed, really annoyed at both men from the Park family.

"Huh? Fa- I mean, CEO, what are you doing here?" Jimin made an appearance from nowhere, probably leaving the stitching to Dr Kim after all and following me out.

"Yes, Jimin, I heard from one of the nurses that you performed your first operation on your first day! How did everything go?" the CEO had a big smile on his face, obviously proud, and so did Jimin.

"Everything went fine," he replied, his eyes bright and happy, crinkling at the edges. Why am I here listening to their conversation anyways? It's obviously a father-son bonding moment or something.

"I'll get going now," I excused myself, before heading off the other way.

"Oh, Dr Choi," the CEO called my name out as I was halfway down the hallway. "Is Jimin behaving well? Is he learning a lot? How much have you taught him? Is he being obedient?" he started to attack me with questions. I really didn't want to reply, and I was too tired at this point.

"He's getting there," I forced a smile, and continued to walk.

"Mrs Jung, are you feeling better?" I asked as I jotted down notes on my clipboard.

"Yes, I am feeling much better today, thank you doctor," she responded, but was still very weak.

"Your baby seems very healthy as well. He's going to be due in a few more weeks, so we really need you to recover soon for both you and your son to be healthy," I explained, careful with my tone as to not worry her.

"I'll do my best," she smiled, and I did too.

"Who's this young gentleman here?" she asked, probably referring to Jimin.

"Hello Mrs Jung, I am Park Jimin, Dr Choi's assistant for a few weeks," I see him bow a full 90 degrees.

"Hello Dr Park," she greeted, accompanied with a warm smile.

"I'll get going now. I'll come back tomorrow," I told her, smiling kindly again, before making my way to the next patient.

"I've never seen you smile this much before," I hear Jimin's observational compliment behind me.

"Don't act as if we're close already," I give him a cold glare, all traces of the smile evaporating from my features, before heading down the corridor to the next room.

"Is this the Park Jimin who hung up on me?" I heard a familiar raspy voice from behind us. So familiar, I didn't even have to see who it was.

"Dr Lee, please leave me alone," I deeply exhaled, not turning to face him, but still stopping all the same.

"Oh no, I'm not here for you, Dr Choi, I'm here for the Park Jimin," I could practically feel him smirking over my shoulders. He was really getting on my nerves.

I whirled around to face him, angry again. He was always sticking his nose in my business, always invading my privacy! It was so annoying!

"What do you want from him?" I spoke as calmly as could, glaring at him. He almost two heads taller, which was a bit intimidating, but what's there to be scared of?

"You can leave now if you have nothing to say," I hissed. I wanted to wipe that smirk off his face, it was making my blood boil.

"I won't hurt your precious assistant," He grinned, thinking that sentence would get on my nerves. I was almost afraid to admit that it did, just a bit. He continued, "Just want to talk about some-"

"If you're going to tell me something, you might as well just tell me now. I don't have the time to stand around waiting to listen to your nonsense," Jimin cut him off just as I was about to as well. I was honestly surprised. I've never seen this side of him before. Maybe he is a bit useful at times...

"Fierce, I like that," Dr Lee chuckled. "I'll catch you around, Dr Choi," he says, lowly walked towards Jimin and I. He stopped about a foot away, looking down on both of us. We both glared defiantly back. Who does he think he is?

"You too, Dr Park."
