~Jimin's POV~
"Dr Park! I said forget it! Are you deaf?!" Hye Jin raises her voice suddenly, making me flinch away.
Her eyes were full of anger, and her hands were balled into fists by her side. I was so terrified, I was scared Hye Jin would take one look at me and see my soul shaking with fear. It's the scariest she's ever been...
"I'm sorry," I apologised instantly, looking down at my shoes. I was her assistant, not her therapist. What was wrong with me? How would this get her to like me?
I heard her pull the door open and exit in a huff. I decided not to follow her after what just happened. Maybe I shouldn't have asked. What does she think of me now?
A weirdo who's always following her everywhere? A guy who keeps sticking his nose in her business?
I pressed my lips together in frustration, hearing the door shut behind her with a resounding thud.
Well it's not my fault her brother told me to look after her.
Is it?

~Hye Jin's POV~
"Here are the documents for the next patient," Dr Park said blankly, placing the papers neatly on the side of my desk. He shuffles away without another word, sinking down into his desk chair looking... melancholy?
It's been a few days and Dr Park has been acting very strange. He hasn't been following me around as much as he used to, staying at his desk typing away at his computer unless I'm called out for an operation. On the rare occasion that he does follow me out of the office, he hasn't been asking me questions at all, unless they're pertinent to what we stepped out for.
It's much quieter and peaceful, but it just feels empty.
Knock. Knock.
"Come in," I answered, shuffling the papers Jimin had just set down.
I looked up to see two women closing the door behind them, walking into the office towards my desk. I looked over at the papers to read the patient's name.
Kim A Ra. This name... I recognise it. I don't want to lift my head up to look at the two, I didn't want to face them. Not again.
"Dr Choi," Dr Park taps me on the shoulder, and I find him next to me once more. When had he moved off his desk? I snapped out of my reverie, and forced my head to look up at them.
"You!" The older lady pointed an accusing finger at me. As expected, my step mother, whom had abandoned my brother and I.
She looked radiant as always, hiding her flaws and demons beneath a layer of makeup and a smile. She wore her raven black hair in a low bun, accentuating her pointed eyes and chin. She wore a pink button up shirt and loose grey vest over her thin frame.
My face was full of seething anger. I'm not in the mood to talk to this cow. I glanced over to the teenager besides her. I see she's all grown up now; my step sister.
I remembered her gentle features, and heart shaped lips from long ago. She hadn't changed much; just grown taller with longer silky dark hair. Her features looked flawless, her skin unblemished, yet she held a cautious expression in her dark chocolate eyes.
"Unnie," she called out, her voice as sweet as honey. A voice that I despised, the sweet voice that turned my core sour as she spoke.
"DON'T YOU DARE CALL ME THAT!" I yell, quickly standing up from my desk, pushing the chair behind me, hearing it roll away from me.
