Your POV
Today I woke up. Just normally. No Dad screaming in the kitchen, no screaming alarm, just a normal morning. Just as I've always wanted since Mom left. Things are finally looking up. I have friends, I can make people smile, everything is perfect. I don't know what else I could possibly ask for. I walked into the kitchen with all my stuff and see my Dad. "What? No comment on what I'm wearing? No screaming at me for an unknown reason?" I mocked and chuckled slightly. "Yeah whatever. I'm only gonna stop doing that because of your little threat, so don't think anything else," He said. I nodded and grabbed some bread. "Better than nothing," I said and put bread in my mouth. I walked out the house and started walking to school. I was probably smiling like an idiot once again, but I didn't care. As always, my friends starting to make our group like always today. Connor walked close to me with a big smile. "Something really good happen to you?" I teased. "Nope! Just glad to finally have friends. Real friends. And I have you to thank for that, (Y/N)," Connor said. "Connor, thank you, but I don't deserve your thanks. When we first met-" He cut me off. "I deserved that. I'll admit, I was being a jerk. I'm glad you stopped me though. Someone had to. If you hadn't, I would be dead. No friends. No happiness. And I wouldn't have had a chance to make things better with my family thanks to your advice! And I admire how you stopped me. You have guts, Kid," Connor said. I tilted my head from him calling me "Kid". "Kid? Who you calling kid, Kid?" I teased. "I am not a kiddddd," Connor pouted. "You're pouting like a kidddd," I teased again. "Oh come on! I thought we were having a moment!" Connor said. We both laughed. "That's what happens when you call me kid~" I said. "Will you two kiss already?" Michael said. Everyone laughed. Except Connor and me, of course. Connor blushed slightly, and me? I blushed to an unimaginable extent. This made everyone else laugh more. I just kept walking and covered my face. "Don't look at meeeeeeee," I whined. Everyone else just kept on laughing until we went to school. The bell finally rang and my blush finally went down. Since Michael, Connor and I finished our project early, we went over it for a few minutes and decided to talk. "So, how do you guys feel about the weath-" I groaned and cut Michael off. "Nooooooo. No small talkkkkk. Me no likey small talk," I whined. They both just laughed. "Well someone's in a great mood for small talk!" Connor teased. I groaned again. "Noooo. What happened to you innocent beannnn. Now you and Michael both small talkkkkk. Noooo," I whined again. They laughed more. "Okay, okay. No small talk," Michael said. I smiled again. "Great!" I said. "Let's talk about why you guys haven't kissed," Michael teased. Oh no. Here comes the blush. "U-um...because we're just friends...." Connor said. Wow. The bean stuttered. The guy who almost jacked up Evan stuttered. I'm honestly surprised. They both turned over to me and I his underneath the desk. "Don't look at meeee," I said again. They just laughed. The bell rang and I went on with my day as always. Looks like I'm finally walking into a better story in my life.
