INKY CHAN FEELS LIKE WRITING TWO CHAPTERS TODAY. I CAN'T GET THIS SONG OUT OF MY HEAD AHHH.
Your POV
I woke up from still remembering what happened yesterday. As much as I wanted to forget it, it was too difficult. That is, until my Dad walked in. "(Y/N), your friend's mom, Heidi I believe, invited you and your friends, along with their parents to dinner tonight. You might wanna get ready now," He suggested to me. I nodded and he left my room. I sighed and picked out something that looked like JD's jacket, a shirt of my favorite color, and some jeans. I wasn't underdressed, but definitely not overdressed. I put on some black high tops and messed with my hair a bit. I walked over to the kitchen, where my Dad was, and got a slushy. "I see you're ready to go undercover," He joked. I chuckled a bit and nodded. "I work for the government," I joked back. He laughed and we got inside the car. "Alright. It should be at their house," He said more of to himself than me, but I nod anyways. It took about an hour and a half to get to Evan's house, and we waited at the door.
Narrator's POV
(Y/N) and her dad knocked on the door gently and waited for the Hansens to answer it. They were greeted with a blond haired mother opening the door, with all of (Y/N)'s friends and their parents there. The parents and teenagers had separate tables since it was a big house, yet small tables. (Y/N)'s Dad shook the blond haired woman's hand with a smile. "John (L/N)," The father greeted. (IM JOHN LAURENS IM THE PLACE TO BE-) "Heidi Hansen. Where's your wife? Was she unable to attend?" She asked the male. "Ah..She left me when my daughter was five or so," John explained to the female. Heidi put her hands over her heart and looked sincere to the male. "I'm sorry to hear that. My husband left me when Evan was still small," She said. "I'm sorry to hear that. But I've heard Evan is a great young man, so you surely didn't go wrong anywhere," John complemented. "Oh you're too much. Evan's told me much about your daughter. Oh, and please, come on in," Heidi told the two. (Y/N) walked to her friends, or at the small table they were sitting at. She saw one unfamiliar face; Or at least one she hasn't seen in person. John and Heidi walked over to the other parents, but the two talked most to each other. This had been going on for about an hour now or so, and (Y/N) saw them talking. "Guys," She said out loud to her friends, plus the unfamiliar face. (Y/N) pointed over to her father and Ms. Heidi. Everyone stood up and (Y/N) stood in front of them.
"There's something going on around here.
I've been watching and the signals are clear.
A nervous laugh when she brushes his skin.
The sweaty palms, the big dopey grin.
Hmmm Hmmm Hmmm," (Y/N) started with singing. She stood behind John and Heidi from a distance with sunglasses on.
"With a giggle and a flip of her hair.
I smell the pheromones in the air.
Making goo goo eyes over their food.
They need some help here in setting the mood," (Y/N) said walking up towards the two. Jeremy and Evan held her back physically to stop her shipping.
"Oh you don't think love is blind?
Well I got some friends who think otherwise.
And here they are!
Direct from my imagination!" (Y/N) sung out. After she finished singing that, Zoe, Alana, and Michael were dressed up in fancy coats and sunglasses.
"Three blind mice!" They sung.
"Watch your step girls!"
"Three blind mice.
See how they run!"
"You gotta turn up the heat!
You gotta butter the pan!" (Y/N) said. Suddenly, the four said in harmony.
"You gotta make a move and don't be afraid!"
"Reach for her hand
And maybe give her a kiss~"
"She's waiting for a move to be made!"
"You got to!"
"Got to!"
"Got to!"
"Got to!"
"Got to!"
"Got to yea!"
"You got to make a move!" They repeated multiple times.
"Dad..
I know you can't hear me right now,
But if you could I would want to say a few things I am in your corner buddy,
But you have to tell that girl
what you are feeling deep down.
You may not get another chance.
So just go on now. Just open your heart and-" (Y/N) stopped singing for a moment. "Heidi?" John asked.
"Here we go!" (Y/N) said and jumped into Connor's arms.
"Yes John?"
"Oh he's gonna tell her!"
"I uh.."
"I can't take this!"
"Well I was uh.."
"Uh huh!"
"I was wondering if.."
"Spit it out!"
"Are you gonna eat that?"
"Man, what is wrong with you?!" She jumped out of Connor's arms.
"You gotta make a move
You gotta shift in gear
You to to buckle down and give it a whirl.
The scene is set right out of a book
With a sunset and a beautiful girl
So you've," (Y/N) started, but didn't finished due to twirling and kissing Connor.
"Got to!"
"Got to!"
"Got to!"
"Got to"
"Got to yea!"
"You gotta make a move!" (Y/N) finished with kissing Connor. The kids ended up staying the night and talked about what just happened, and the parents agreed to pick them up in the morning. The teen's new goal was to get Heidi and John together.
