The Date (Chapter 8)

"Dad, I'll be fine. Connor is like a teddy bear when you get to know him," I told my Dad. As you can tell, it was my date with Connor. That actually feels nice to say. I'm on a date with Connor. Finally. At first, if you asked me if I wanted to date Connor, I would've said I couldn't survive that. But now....I would go to hell and back just to see him. I feel like my world's been turned upside down..But in a good way. I feel so happy around him. I saved him. He gave me the ability to speak up for my self. He makes me feel like I can do anything. I could even fight off a whole army, just with him cheering me on. It's hard to fight my love for him..Even if I just discovered it. "If he hurts my little girl, he's DEAD," My Dad suddenly bursted out. I laughed. "Dad, he won't. It's bad to not trust the groom~" I teased and walked out. "WHAT?! MY LITTLE GIRL WILL NOT GET MARRIED TO ANYONE," My Dad yelled. I was probably laughing like no tomorrow. I calm down and took a second look at where Connor told me where the date is. Á La Mode, perfect! I love ice cream. Or just sweets in general. I smile to myself and walk to Á La Mode and see..Connor working at the desk? That's new. I never saw Connor working at an ice cream place. I waited in the line, by line I mean nobody there at all. I don't know why nobody else was there, but it was awesome. "What may I get you, m'lady?~" Connor teased. I giggled. "Hmm...Cookies and cream with chocolate fudge," I said. "$5, beautiful stranger," He teased again. I rolled my eyes playfully and handed him a 5 dollar bill and I got my ice cream. I sat down and waited for Connor. He soon walked over and sat across from me. "Hey, pretty lady," Connor teased yet again. "Hey stranger," I retorted. We both laughed as I started eating my ice cream. Then, Connor got a spoon and took a scope of my ice cream. "Heyyyy," I pouted. "Hey, I made it!" He whined. "I paid for it!" I sassed back. We both giggled. "Touché," He said and took another spoonful. I rolled my eyes playfully again and kept eating. Connor suddenly got up. "Can I show you something?" Connor asked. I nodded and he grabbed my arm to take me somewhere. I soon saw a beautiful river and sat by it. Connor sat by me and watched my hands fiddle with the water. I looked at him and splashed him and giggled. He splashed me back and we ended up having a splash war. Yeah, you guessed it, we got soaked. But it didn't matter when I was with Connor. Everything seemed perfectly fine with him. We stopped and realized we were soaked. Connor shrugged and started...Cuddling me? It seemed nice. He kissed my forehead and I turned red. We basically just sat there for a bit cuddling until we decided to leave. He walked me back home and kissed my hand before I went inside. Again, blushed a lot. I walked inside and of course, Dad had some...Fatherly questions. Man, I knew there was a fatherly side to him, just not this...colossal.
At least today I now have a boyfriend.
And I'm happy with him.
And that's all I could possibly ever ask for after everything.
