What if Solas never slept in Uthenera.... what if he just hid in his Glen and only came out to wander the world and help those he deemed "worthy" of his "services".... what if spirits could love as humans do.... just not while they are in the Fade...
There is a reason Melava is thought to be strange for she is the one who holds the magic of Fen Harel within her you see the Foci are "just for show" so to speak the shining white Orb that is supposed to hold the "gods/goddess" magic is made to fool the ones who wish to have it for themselves and before you begin to wonder.... NO her magic IS her own NOT Fen'Harel's which is deeply hidden within her so deep that there is no way for her to channel it and use it for herself YES the fact that she is the holder of his Foci/magic is the reason Solas watched her so closely though after he found out it was her that held it anyway.... which wasn't until before he left her.... it is also the reason he left her he was not looking forward to the day when he had to take it from her.... her father had found out much sooner he noticed the bright glowing orb by her bedside when she turned 2 she used it as a sort of nightlight to protect her from the darkness that surrounded her not the night but a persons darkness he had called her a coward and tried to take it out of her room that is when she got very sick very quickly and none of the healers could heal her the Spirit of Compassion that came to her came in the form of a elder man of no older than 30....

The Spirit looked down at Melava and as her father had entered the room as the Spirit seemed to merge with her going inside her heart taking his dagger her father had stabbed her in the heart trying to take Fen'Harel's magic within him though since she was the one who held it his magic kept her alive as did the Spirit her father "killing" her is what split the Spirit though the Spirit did not blame her like she blamed herself the Pride Demon protected her from within the Fade until Solas taught her how to do it on her own though the Demon still protectively watched her her father had died in her place his own dagger was found in his own heart his body on his rooms floor for the Pride Demon had put him there....
Solas had seen the scar in-between Melava breasts as they swam together before entering the Fade with her the day he left though she didn't know that he had seen it she was quite good at hiding her one and only physical scar and even though Solas left her the 2 wolves had stayed and are still with her to this day.... Melava was asleep when Solas came to put his "godly" magic back within the Foci so that he could try to open it he kissed her on the forehead and whispered an apology as he placed the orb on her heart and it soaked up his magic then he left she never woke as all this happened as a matter of fact she was never to know herself no one is sure what would happen if she had ever found out and Solas never wanted to know himself for he would miss the girl who grew up calling him "Uncle" Solas he looked down at her as the orb took his magic from her brushing her long brown hair with his fingers thinking of all the times they spent together there were tears in his eyes as he left
