Pride and Compassion

Melava walks with Solas, Varric, Atisha and Cullen to the Temple of Sacred Ashes..... they fight many Demons and Atisha closes a few Rifts along the way.... when they reach their final destination and Atisha opens the Breach Melava's scar glows brighter than it ever has and her demonic friend jumps out of the Breach in front of her "no!!!!"  she whispers sadly Solas stands by her side as she looks up at the Demon and says "go back Pride!..... PLEASE!!.... go back home!.... I don't wish to harm you!.... but I will if I have too!!"  she feels the eyes of an unseen being watching her as her magic glows around her the Pride Demon kneels down before her and she places her hand on its cheek everyone watches her interact with this extremely large Demon with such care and kindness as it disappears into the scar on her chest "I am so sorry my friend!"  she whispers then she begins to fight the other Demons that have fallen from the Breach behind the Pride Demon Solas joins her right away and slowly the others follow and after awhile Atisha closes the Breach.... Melava notices a long haired blonde boy come in and out of her view fighting the Demons alongside her with two shiny silver daggers she fights the urge to flip that large hat out of his eyes so she can get a clearer view of them for it also seems that she is the only one who can see him at the moment so she says nothing till she and Solas are back inside his cabin.....

"I have to take Pride back into the Fade.... he can't stay within me for much longer....!"  Melava says Solas nods "..... Solas.....!"  she says in a soft low voice he looks at her curiously when he hears her say his name ever so softly "I.... I think.... there was someone else there!.... he felt like a spirit of Compassion.... no.... he isn't the same one as....! he was.... IS.... different!.... almost..... human!.... he has the brightest blue eyes....so clear.... so....!"  she whispers and takes a piece of paper and a quill and ink out of the drawer of his bedside table and draws a lifelike picture of the boy/Spirit she thought she saw beside her then says "it was strange.... I think I was the only one who could see him!.... but I felt him.... staring at me!.... first.... as I talked to Pride.... it was.... after Pride was in me that I could see him.... he was.... fighting the Demons at my side.... in and out of view.... I don't think I was suppose to see him.... not yet!.... but he wants to help.... he's just not sure how.... I believe he felt it too!"  Solas tilts his head and asks curiously "felt what!?!"  she answers softly "their confusion!.... their pain!.... it's changing them!.... and they don't WANT to change!!.... but the Rifts and the Breach..... they don't have a choice!"  he looks at her in sorrow and she asks after a short pause "can I borrow your bed?!.... I would like you here.... just in case something goes wrong!"  he answers softly "of course lethallin!"  she walks over to his bed and lays down he covers her up and sits by her side on the edge of the bed giving her forehead a soft small kiss as her eyes close she could feel the boy over by the farthest wall leaning up against it watching her as though he's also trying to protect her....

It isn't till a few months later that he comes and everyone can see him.... Melava was sent to Therinfal Redoubt with Varric, Cullen and a new arrival a human called Blackwall "hey Bear"  she says with a smile as she walks over to a dark skinned Templar.... she ignored the idiot in a mask that were suppose to come in with them a Lord Abernache and went straight to Knight Templar Ser Delrin Barris who she has always called Bear.... he seemed happy to see her and even happier that she ignored the "Lord" in the mask and he walks her and her group in "I have already done this.... do I have to do it again Bear!?!"  she asks him as they walk in "not if you don't want to Lava"  he replies she smiles at him and they all walk into the building where the Knight Captain is waiting "what happened to them!?!"  she whispers to Cullen who shrugs and looks as worried as she sounded she looks at the Knight Captain who proclaims in surprise "you're not the Harold!"  she replies "and we don't have time for your foolery!.... so off you go.... nighty night!"  she waves her arm and the Knight Captain and his red lyrium infused minions fall unconscious to the floor she turns to the worried looking Barris and says "don't worry they've only been knocked unconscious.... we will take them to Haven for questioning"  both Barris and Cullen nod at her as they continue on to the next room where there are many more Red Templars and other red lyrium infused beasts and as the others fight Melava goes off on her own to find the Lord Seeker
