A few minutes later Melava follows Atisha into the Chantry she hears as well as sees a large loud puff of smoke come from inside the War Room and whispers "Cole!?!" as she rushes into the room opening the door she sees him kneeling in a sitting position on the table with one of the circular markers in his hand moving it around and looking at it like it's the most interesting thing he has ever seen "they're almost here Templar's don't like to be late" she hears his soft tones say she rushes in to stand before him and protect him as Cullen and Cassandra unsheathe their swords and point them at him as she spins around her body leans back her hands fall onto the table behind her one of her hands grip his free one which was close to the edge of the table she now holds for balance "Cull.... don't!.... please!" she says softly as Cole turns his head to look in her direction he says into her ear since the back of her head was all he could see "I came with you to help I would have told you before but you were busy" her ear tingles at the feel of his soft warm breath brushing up against it blowing at her hair gently and the sound his voice makes it vibrate lightly....
She turns her head slightly towards him and says softly "it's okay Cole!" she turns back to Cullen and says gently "Cull.... if it wasn't for him I'd still be stuck in there!.... and who knows what would have happened....!" she pauses then says "he didn't mean to startle you.... he just....!" Cullen sheaths his sword and looks at her sadly "most people don't see me until I let them" Cole explains then he jumps lightly off the table behind Melava and says "you help people you made them safe when they would have died I want to do that I can help" his body is so close to hers as she turns around and looks up into his eyes with a bright soft smile on her face and says softly "I would like that!" Cole once again acts like he didn't hear her soft voice as he says "the hole in the sky is too loud for Spirits to think it's pulling, pushing out pain I want to stop it I want to help I can be hard to see I can kill things that would hurt people I won't get in the way I won't be in the way tiny, no trouble, no notice taken unless you want them to" Melava gently squeezes the hand she's still holding and he lifts his head up and looks at her "that's too bad!.... I like trouble!" she teases with a teasing corner smile Atisha chuckles then says with a smile "she really does!.... OK Cole.... if Lava vouches for you.... then you can stay!" Cole smiles but Cassandra argues with her and the smile turns into a frown Cole disappears and is forgotten though Melava can still feel his hand in hers, his body next to her, his breath upon her ear but not his voice or his face as she walks out of the War Room more confused than before.....
That night Cole comes back as Corypheus and his Venatori come and attack Haven Solas, Melava, Varric and Atisha meet Cullen, Josephine and Cassandra at the gate they hear a loud knock and Cole's voice say "I can't come in unless you open" Solas hears Melava softly whisper "Cole!?!" and she rushes towards the gate doors and opens them then sees a large brute of a man in armor walk over to her as Solas rushes to her side with a worried expression on his face then they hear a dagger slice through the back of the brute and the body fall behind the now dead body is the strange pale boy with the large brimmed hat slowly standing up his eyes catch hers and lock for a few seconds as Cullen and Atisha rush over to Cole although they have met Cole says to them "I'm Cole I came to warn you to help people are coming to hurt you you probably already know" Melava leaves Solas' side and rushes over to Cole to protect him once more if needed "Cole!?!" she whispers softly with worry his eyes widen as he looks back in her direction at the realization that she remembers him he turns back to the Harold and says "the Venatori have come to kill you they went to the Elder One you know him he knows you you took his mages and Templars" he points up to the top of the highest hill where Corypheus stands with an ex-templar named Sampson and a Vint mage named Calpernia and says "there he's very angry that you took them"....
Atisha relays orders to Cullen who orders his troops Cole's eyes lock with Melava's as Solas reaches her side once more and asks softly with a curious tone "so this is....!?!" she nods then whispers softly "I don't understand why I keep forgetting him though!.... maybe losing my memory is my punishment for finding out what I am!.... he was there when I found out so.... forgetting him must be a part of all of it.... the thing is...." she slowly walks up to Cole and places a soft hand on his cheek looking up into his eyes she says "I don't want to forget him.... EVER!!" Cole's eyes widen and she introduces the Spirit to the ancient godly mage then they go off and join the rest in the fight.... while they were speaking it was as though the world around them stopped or perhaps didn't even exist.... when THAT fight ended they headed to the camp side by side just taking the time and getting to know one another
