What if Solas never slept in Uthenera.... what if he just hid in his Glen and only came out to wander the world and help those he deemed "worthy" of his "services".... what if spirits could love as humans do.... just not while they are in the Fade...
The last thing Cole saw as he left the Fade with the others was Melava's bright powerful magic pointed at the giant spider she was so angry angrier than he has ever felt from her worried about her friends but not herself THAT he was use to but his heart hurt thinking about her fighting that creature alone and he didn't know what to do with himself all these brand new emotions that flowed from inside in and all around him filling him with a warmth he has never felt before he missed her, wanted her back at his side.... what is this!?!.... "love!" Solas tells him then he says "it's a completely natural human emotion!" Cole thinks back on an earlier conversation he had with Solas as the two of them wandered Ferelden with the Inquisitor.... it was a few weeks before the ball at the Winter Palace.... "it makes sense it holds them as they die but then it's a man and he wants a woman why?" Cole asks curiously"when they possess people they often indulge in feelings they have never before experienced" Solas answers "but it changed it is blank, black, blunted from being it never wanted before" Cole replies "have you felt no interest in women since you came through the Veil?" Solas asks .....Cole didn't answer he did think of someone.... constantly.... and now she was gone Cole dreaded the fact that he may never see her again.... Solas noticed the sadness in Cole's eyes and did the only thing he could think of doing for he knew that none of the words he would say would help make the pain he feels go away for he felt the same way.... just in a different way.... he hugged him Cole laid his head on Solas' chest and his hat fell off his head but he made no move to pick it up Solas had caught it as it fell and held the brim in-between his fingers and thumb as he held his friend tightly in a gentle manner....
Melava fought the nightmare's pet with everything she had she brought out all her anger, frustration, worry every emotion she held back and hid came out all at once soon the giant spider gave up and backed away in fear she was extremely tired by the time it scurried away but knew that it was not a good idea to fall asleep in the Fade she wandered out of the nightmare and into a different part of the Fade where she met Wisdom who was surprised to see her.... Wisdom was talking to a beautiful dark haired elf who also looked up as she approached "you should not be here!" the elven woman says in surprise her voice rings out like the most beautiful melody you have ever heard "I.... know.... but here is better than where I was!" Melava answers out of breath then she turns to Wisdom and asks "I.... need to speak to Solas!.... are you strong enough to call him!?!.... he would know what to do!" Wisdom nods then walks away then Melava turns to the elven maiden and says "I.... know you!.... well.... OF you anyway!.... you shouldn't be here either!" the elf smiles at her then replies "I know!.... I am.... waiting!" Melava nods understandingly then says "I am known as Melava.... the Foci Holder" the elf's smile brightens then she replies "Telana" Melava smiles and she looks around....

Melava was on The Lady's Rest a small island in the Frostback Mountains Wisdom and Telana were sitting in a little cabin which by the looks of it would be broken down and falling apart by now in her time "are there any Eluvian's here!?!... maybe I can exit through one of them!" she says Telana looks at her curiously "I'll take that as a no!" Melava says with a chuckle in her tone just then Solas walks in Melava's eyes sparkle happily as she looks over at him and smiles then says with a happy tone "Uncle Solas!!" she walks over to him he smiles at her then wraps his arm around her shoulder she turns to Telana and says "it was nice to meet you Hahren" she gives a slight bow then she and Solas leave the Fade.... once back at Skyhold Melava says in a soft honest tone "I am tired Uncle Solas!" he smiles at her and says softly "come.... I shall take you somewhere where no one will bother you while you rest" Melava replies "but Cole....! he must be worried.... I can't just....!"Solas chuckles softly then says with a smile "I will let him know that you are safe" Melava shakes her head then says "no.... Sol.... you don't understand!.... with all that just happened.... he will worry about.... changing!.... he told me he loves me.... while in the Fade! and after what happened with the Wardens.... because of a single Vint he'll....!"Solas looks at her finally understanding what she meant as she continues "he'll have to make a choice.... for the amulet to work or not!.... I made him one.... just in case.... it's in the chest in his corner of the tavern balcony...." she chuckles then says "daggers and a hat.... that's the design I made.... it seemed fitting!"....
Solas takes her to his Glen and lays her down in the grass she almost instantly fell asleep but not before feeling Solas' lips brush against her forehead "it was you!.... I knew it felt familiar!" she whispers softly with a sleepy tone he smiles sadly then says "yes.... I'm sorry lethallin!" he stands up slowly "it's yours to begin with.... but you should have waited!.... till you knew you could do it yourself!.... I could have helped you!.... I was born with the knowledge on how to....! you could have trusted me Uncle Solas!" she tells him Solas looks at her sadly as she falls into a deep restless slumber "I do Melava! out of everyone I know I trust you most of all!.... I just am uncertain that I trust myself!" he says softly then he walks sadly out of the Glen and back to Skyhold
