An hour passed and I set the book I had been reading down before heading downstairs. Ron opened the front door. Sensing my presents, he turned around. I waved goodbye.
"Bye, Lori. I'll be back.", Ron said and pointed over to the coffee table before leaving.
I noticed a small piece of paper with some writing on it. I picked it up.
'If you ever need some company and no one is home, let me know. 1403516382 (please don't dial this number. Primus knows who will answer) - Ron'.
I smiled and put Ron's number in my phone. I walked up stairs and put Rhyan's numbers in my phone as well. I set the two pieces of paper on my bedside table. Since it was only noon, I decided to head outside for a while. I walked out the back door and to my sheds.
One shed had all my weapons in it. The other held my inventions. No one was aloud inside other than me. I grabbed my leather red and black outfit and put on my matching helmet. I loaded up with guns, grenades, and knives. I climbed on my new motorbike and took off.
I turned left onto county road 9 and skidded to a stop. A bunch of robots, like the ones that held me prisoner, walked around. A couple other robots came and the new ones started fighting with the others. A semi came and soldiers jumped out of the trailer.
They started attacking. The semi transformed and started attacking the leader. The police robot came out of the forest and started sneaking up toward the yellow and black robot. I jumped off my bike and started fighting the police robot. He groaned when I kicked him.
I heard a phone ring and someone answering it.
"No. I haven't seen Lori.", I looked around and spotted Ron on the phone, "Isn't she in her room? Or out shooting? Well, then I got nothing. No, Sarah, I haven't spent a lot of time with her. Where's Lennox, isn't he helping? I can't drop everything and look for her. Because, Sarah, I'm in the middle of a battle. Slag!"
A blast almost hit Ron.
"Ron, we need Ironhide!", someone yelled.
"I got to go. Good luck finding Lori.", Ron hung up and glared at one of the soldiers, "We don't need Ironhide. I'm the weapons specialist, remember?"
"Oooo Ron's got a girlfriend.", the yellow and black robot teased.
"Shut it.", Ron growled.
"Someone's getting possessive.", I looked next to Ron and seen Epps, "You love her?"
"Get off my back, would you? And I'm not being possessive.", Ron glared.
Epps shot at one of the robots and the leader called a retreat, "Whatever you say."
"Let's head home.", one of the robots said.
I got back on my bike and drove back home. Maybe I could get there before Ron did. If I didn't, I'd get in big trouble. He'd probably scold me for going onto a battle field. I pulled into the driveway and drove over to my workshop. After parking the bike inside and taking off the helmet and matching leather, I locked the doors and headed in the house.
When I walked in, mom hugged me and dad joined when he walked in. They let go as a black topkick came into the driveway. I walked up to my room and left the door open a crack. My door is usually closed all the time. I sat on my bed and waited for Ron knowing he was going to come up here.
Sure enough, the door opened and Ron stood in the doorway.
"Where have you been, kid?", he asked, I looked over at my invention shed, "That shed, huh? Strange place to hideout."
I shook my head, hiding my smile. Ever since I met Ron, he's been this crazy awesome guy. Most guys just want to talk about themselves, Ron though......he always wants to know more about me. Since he has to go to base a lot, he doesn't know much about me.
He knows my name, age, grade, where I'm from, who my parents are, how many siblings I have, and where I live. All I know about him is his name, favorite color, vehicle, his job, and that he spends a lot of time on base.
"So, we've got some free time. What do you say we get to know one another better?", he asked, I nodded and he pulled out a notebook from his bag he carries around, "Here you go. Alright, first question. What do you want to be when you get out of school?"
'That's easy. I want to be in the military, like my dad. Ever since I was young, I've been wanting to be a weapons specialist. My dad always complains when he gets back from interviewing people. None of them want to be a weapons specialist so I'm going to join his team.', I wrote.
"Weapons Specialist, huh?", he smirked, "Why? What makes a weapons specialist so interesting?"
'They deal with guns all day. Want to see my collection?', I wrote down.
"Let's go.", Ron got up and we walked over to my weapons shed, I opened the doors and Ron walked in, "Whoa. You've got everything."
I watched him as he walked around, looking at the different guns.
"Did you use that crystal I gave you?", he asked, I nodded and handed him the gun that had a small sliver of the crystal, "Way to go."
We walked back inside and continued talking.
