I smiled. It's officially one month and two weeks until I get to meet everyone at the base. I'm so excited! I just can't hide it! (Anyone get it?)
"You're awfully happy.", Dad said, "How come?"
"Because! In exactly 44 days I get to meet your team!", I grinned and continued jumping around.
Ron was on the couch and he didn't look very happy. I had to cheer him up. I know! I walked over to Ron and pulled him up off the couch. I pulled him upstairs and into our room. I shut the door and allowed him to stand up.
"What was that for?", Ron asked as he stood.
"So I can do this.", I said and kissed him passionately.
Ron kissed me back and I smiled.
"I love you.", Ron said when he pulled back.
"I love you too.", I responded.
"Come on.", Ron grabbed a lighter and his keys.
"Where are we going?", I asked and followed him out to his - our - truck.
"You'll see.", Ron said and opened the passenger side door.
I got in and he got in the driver's side.
"You never did tell me.", I said and Ron glanced over at me as he drove, "What did I tell you when I was half asleep the other day?"
Ron smirked and looked at me for a quick second, "You told me..."
Ron explained to me that I had told him: Mm, you're looking fine. What made me blush was the fact that I had said it kind of sexually by the sound of it. Ron pulled to a stop and got out. I followed him. My eyes widen when I saw the most beautiful clearing in the forest.
"Where are we?", I asked and stood by Ron.
"I found this a few days ago. It's a Valley just outside of town.", Ron answered, "I figured we could spend a few hours here."
"Sounds like fun.", I smiled.
We sat down on a blanket and watched the wild animals. I enjoy being outside. I smiled when I saw the sun setting. I leaned against Ron and fell asleep.

Waking up to a toddler jumping on you isn't fun nor comfortable. I growl and sit up only to find that Ron had his arm wrapped around me protectively.
"What do you want, Annabel?", I asked and rubbed my face tiredly.
"Mommy said to wate you up. She wants to talt to you.", Annabel said and left the room.
I carefully remove Ron's arm from around me and get out of bed. I walked downstairs and spotted mom on the couch. Annabel was eating.
"What's up, mom?", I asked.
"Let's not talk out here.", Mom said, "Not in front of Annabel."
That got me worried that something happened to Dad. Mom got up and walked to her and dad's room. I walked in after her and she closed the door behind me. Mom and I walked over to the bed and sat down.
"What's wrong? Did something happen to Dad?", I asked.
"No. Your father is kicking Ron out today.", mom said.
"What? Why?", I asked and started to cry.
"He came home late last night and saw the two of you. I'll try to calm him down when he gets back but no promises.", Mom said and I slowly nodded.
I got up and left the room. I walked upstairs and stopped at my bedroom door when I heard Ron's voice. He was talking to someone on the phone and they were on speaker. He must be getting dressed.
"So, do you?", I heard the voice of a spunky person.
"Do I what?", Ron asked.
"Love her. Lennox's daughter.", the person clarified and I smiled slightly.
"No.", Ron said and my heart stopped beating as tears threatened to come streaming down my face, "I don't. She's just a mission, Jake. Nothing more. I'm only here because Orion sent me. My mission is over and I'm leaving this afternoon."
I had enough and threw the door open causing Ron to jump.
"Ron? What was that?", 'Jake' asked, "Ron?"
I didn't look at Ron as tears streamed down my face endlessly. I grabbed my phone, wallet, keys, the Energon crystal, and a suitcase full of clothes. I could hear Ron talking to me but I ignored him. I brought my suitcase down the stairs with Ron following me.
"Lori, please look at me!", Ron begged, "What's wrong?"
I turned and glared at him harshly while the tears continued.
"I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN YOU ASSHOLE!", I yelled and left the house.
I called an uber and left when they arrived. I pulled out my phone and went through the list of contacts. I stopped at Lisa. I decided to call her.
"Hey, Lori. How come you're calling me?", Lisa asked.
"Is it al-alright if I-I fly-y over?", I asked through my tears.
"Lori, what's wrong?", Lisa asked, concern laced in her voice.
"I'll tel-ll you lat-er. Is it al-alright?", I said.
"Yes on both counts. My boyfriend and I would love to have you over.", Lisa said.
"O-okay. Se-ee you s-soon.", I said and hung up.
