I groaned and rolled over onto my stomach. My phone continued to ring. I grabbed my phone and answered.
"Hello?", I answered, still half asleep.
"Hello, Lori. We're flying out to Florida in 5 minutes for the mission.", Orion said.
"Mission?", I asked, "Oh! Right! Thanks for getting me up. I was thinking.....the sibling bond....can you create one or....?"
"It is possible. Why?", Orion asked.
"I was hoping that maybe since we consider one another siblings that we could do that sibling bond.", I said.
"Lori, there are risks that come with a bond of any kind.", Orion warned, "If I were to get injured - or even killed - in battle it could severely hurt you or worse."
"I understand that.", I said as I got dressed, "But you mean a lot to me. We could keep an eye on one another and we could communicate throughout the day rather than at night before we go to bed."
"Lori, when two beings are bonded, they don't jut share emotions and thoughts. It's dreams as well.", Orion said.
"Are you......scared of what I might see at night?", I asked, he remained silent, "Orion, it's okay. Sometimes you need someone to help overcome those dreams. Talking helps. A lot."
"I will think about it.", Orion said.
"Okay. There is no rush.", I said, "Love you, bye."
"Goodbye, Lori.", Orion said.
I hung up and left my house.
When I arrived at the grocery store, I grabbed the list of items I needed to buy. I had gotten a job here and had told my boss that it was only temporary but that I didn't know for how long.
After an hour and a half at the store, I had gotten everything on my list. I went home and put everything away. The boys even helped....with their treats....
"Killer!", I gasped, "What did you do?"
Treats were everywhere. Buster and Bullet decided to help Killer clean up. I shook my head.
"You boys.....you'll do anything for treats.", I laughed.
I heard the front door open and giggling.
"Knock, knock!", Stacy called out.
"I heard about a party!", Lindsey said.
"Where's the vodka?", Gab joked.
"Sorry, Gabs, no vodka.", I smiled.
"Ah, I'm out.", Gab said and pretended to leave, "Good to see you."
"Yeah. I'm going to be here for a couple months maybe longer.", I said.
"What did your boyfriend do now?", Lindsey asked as she grabbed a bottle of Gatorade out of the fridge.
"He kept a secret from me.", I said, "I can't tell you guys though. It's a government ecret."
"That sucks.", Gab said, "I'd love to have something to blackmail the president with."
"Anyway, he's not my boyfriend. He's my fiance.", I said.
"FIANCE?!", they all yelled.
"We're invited to the wedding, right?", Stacy asked.
"Oooh! Can I be maid of honor?", Lindsey asked.
"When is the wedding?", Gab asked.
"Nothing is set. Okay? My dad doesn't even know that I'm getting married.", I said.
