My initial plan was to wait to publish this until the last day of school but I am one of those authors who can't stand not writing and publishing. At least until I am super active. Anyway, here you go.

I couldn't stop shaking. The dream from last night still haunted me. I turned off the stove and walked over to the couch. I heard the door open and kept staring at the fireplace. Lisa stood in my line of vision. The first thing I saw was the knife.

"Get away from me!", I yelled and backed up.

"Whoa, Lori, it's just my phone. What's going on?", Lisa asked.

I blinked a couple times and the knife was gone. I looked up at Lisa.

"Sorry. Just a little jumpy.", I said.

"Lori, did you sleep at all last night? You've got bags.", Lisa said.

"To be honest, no. I tried but I woke up from a nightmare two hours later. Never went back to sleep.", I said.

"You want to talk about it?", Lisa asked and brought me over to the couch.

"Yes and no.", I said, "All I am going to say is it had to do with my ex and I."

"Ugh! I hate those. Especially when they turn out real. Remember Jordan? Well, he's in prision now. He tried to kill me but my boyfriend got in the way. The gun went off and killed him.", Lisa said, "They only recently got the rest of the evidence. He got 25 years for murder and 15 for stalking me and armed robbery."

"Wow.", was all I could manage.

What if Ron did that to me?! I mean, if Lisa and Jay tried protecting me, we'll all get blown up.

"I have to make a quick phone call.", I said and grabbed my phone.

I stared at the number that used to call me everyday to tell me about his day. I started to hesitate. He's a giant robot. The leader for god sake!

"Lori, you okay?", Lisa asked. and set her hand on my shoulder.

"I....I don't know if I should call him. He also kept the secret from me. The same one as my fiance. I don't know if I can trust anymore.", I said.

"Lori, you have to start somewhere. You have to reconnect with them. It's been weeks.", Lisa said, "They all probably miss you."

"But....he's the leader. He made the decision to keep it from me.", I said.

"Lori. Call him. You have to start somewhere. Trust one at a time and build from there.", Lisa said, "Talk to him. I have to go Jay wants to take me somewhere."

Lisa left the house and got in the car with Jay. I sighed, Lisa's words echoing in my mind. I tapped on his name and hit "call".

The phone rang once. Twice. Three times.

"Lori? I wasn't expecting you to call.", Orion said, surprised.

"I know. I wasn't planning on it either but...... I saw R- Ironhide yesterday. He followed my friends and I to a movie theater.", I started.

"I told him that he should try calling you first before he randomly showed up.", Orion said.

"He did. 40 times since I left. Anyway, I ended up having a nightmare last night that freaked me out a bit. Ron had asked for ten days to prove that he loved me. I ended up falling for him again but things didn't go as I had hoped. In the end, he stabbed me.", I said, "I didn't get much sleep after that."

"Lori, we Autobots have laws that we stand by. We are meant to protect all beings, not harm them. Ironhide knows that better than anyone even if he doesn't show it. (Referring to movie 1 where Ron says and asks "The Parents are very irritating. Can I take them out?")", Orion said.

"That makes me less worried.", I said, "Thanks, Orion."

"Orion Pax was my name years ago. I'm Optimus Prime now. However, if you feel comfortable with calling me Orion, that's alright with me.", Orion said.

"Okay. I better go try to get a little more sleep. I have to go to a party tonight.", I said.

"Alright. Have fun.", Orion said.

"Orion? Can we....um......talk before going to bed like we used to? A friend suggested that I start with trusting one at a time.", I asked.

"Yes. That is alright with me. I will talk to you tonight then.", Orion said.

"Okay. Bye.", I said, "Love you."

"Goodbye for now, Lori. I love you as well.", Orion said and the line was disconnected.

I smiled and set my phone down. Maybe reconnecting with old friends won't be that bad.

I walked to my room and fell asleep. When I woke up hours later, I put on a black, long dress. I made sure that Killer, Buster, and Bullet had food before I left.

When I arrived at the party, the place was packed. The party is where couples go to dance and have fun. Lisa suggested that I come to mingle and maybe meet other guys to get my mind off Ron. I sat down at a table with Lisa and Jay.

"Remind me why I'm here again?", I said.

"Stop it, Lori. You need to find someone else.", Lisa said, "To at least get your mind off him."

"Lisa, I'm not interested. Ever since Ron and I got together, every other guy seems unattractive. No offense, Jay.", I said.

"You're good.", Jay smiled, "I actually feel the same way about girls."

I smiled.

I stayed for another hour and a half before calling it a night. When I got home, the boys were passed out on the couch. I walked into my room and changed into pajamas. When I sat on my bed, my phone rang.

"Hello.", I said and smiled.

"Hello, Lori. How was the party?", Orion asked.

"Not as eventful as I thought it'd be. Just a bunch of people dancing. Some guys were trying to get girls to dance with them and vise versa.", I said, "Any new missions?"

"We have a mission in the morning in Orlando, Florida. Some Decepticons are causing mayhem.", Orion said.

"I'm actually in Orlando. Maybe you can stop by and see the boys.", I said, "When your mission is done of course. Bullet I know would love to see you again. His brothers are a little afraid of men though."

"How come?", Orion asked.

"Killer and Buster both got abused by men. They were starved and constantly got hit. They were forced to stay outdoors in the cold.", I said.

"Humans can be so cruel.", Orion said.

"Yeah. Um, Orion, when Ron gave me the ring, I felt something. It's hard to explain.", I said, "Any idea why?"

"I know exactly what you are referring to. It's called a bond. When a Cybertronian gives another being a ring or necklace, they form a bond. It's impossible to break. For femmes, women, men are no longer of interest. She just focuses on her mech. Same goes for the mech or male.", Orion explained.

"So that's why I don't care for guys anymore. What about emotions? Can we feel one another?", I asked.

"Yes, you can. The bond enables both parties to feel one another's emotions and to hear each other. There are three types of bonds. Sibling bond, parental bond, and the bond between mates.", Orion said.

"Cool.", I said, amazed, "Well, it's after ten thirty. I'm going to head to bed to get up early."

"Okay. Have a good night, Lori. Would you like me to wake you?", Orion asked.

"Yeah. That way I can get my shopping and what not done in the morning.", I said.

"Alright. I'll talk to you then.", Orion said.

"Night.", I said as I yawned.

Orion hung up and as I soon as my head hit the pillow, I was asleep.
