*One day earlier*
“I’m leaving now, elder sisters.” She said to her sisters.
“Jangmi, be careful when you’re exploring the sea. Always protect your necklace. If you’re apart from it for a long time, you will decease into a bubble.” said her eldest sister with a keen eyes.
“The necklace is very important for us, its the thing that keeping us immortal.” said the fifth sister. The necklace was there with the mermaids since they’re little as their magical amulets to keep them from dying.
“Never have a contact with a human races. We’ve nothing to do with them. Having something with them will only lead to disaster for us.” said her third sister. All her other sister nodded in unison, agreeing with what she just said.
“Ohh come on guys. She’s old enough now to go out into the ocean alone.” her second sister said, then continued, “You’ve been looking forward to this for a long time, haven’t you?”
Jangmi nodded her head vigorously.
“Is that even a good thing? There’s many marvelous things in the ocean more than the land.” said the first sister again. Looking more anxious than ever, afraid if something bad would happen to her beloved sister.
“You must never consider having any contact with the human world.” said the eight sister, holding Jangmi’s hands.
“I’ll be fine.” said Jangmi looking at her sister with a small assuring smile then continued, “Besides, in this form, I can’t go up on land.” She shrugged her shoulder.
The sisters all nodded in acceptance, Jangmi had already made her mind, there’s no persuading will turn her back.
“Goodbye, Jangmi!” said her sister. “Be careful!” They shouted.
Jangmi waved her hands to her sisters, gesturing them telling that she’ll be fine by her own.

“Finally! Finally I can go!” said Jangmi as she swam excitedly towards the surface.
The sun shined brightly. The sky were blue with birds flying peacefully across.
“It’s surely overflowing with marvelous things. The land sure is a mystery and interesting things to explore. Too bad I didn’t have a feet to travel with.” She huffed.
Suddenly the wind went wild. The sun was covered by the dark clouds. The strong wind suddenly forms into thunder storm.
“Wha- a storm?” said Jangmi, startled by the sudden change of weather.
“Thumbhhh!” the storm rumbled.
“There are so many things floating in the water, I wonder if something happened.” said Jangmi as she saw many thing floated in the water nearby.
As she looked through the things floated, curious of what just happened, she just happened to stumble upon a person. The person were merely breathing.
“Th-that’s a human!” Jangmi said. She was about to rescued the human but remembering what her sister said, which they should not have any interaction with human races, made her unsure of what to do.
But having the thought that the human will die if she leaves him there alone, made her take a huge step and saved the human.
“Am I... in heaven?” whispered the human as Jangmi drove him to the shore carrying him on her left shoulder.
Without Jangmi realisation, the human grabbed her necklace accidentally and pulled it with him without her noticing because she was busy swimming toward the shore.
“There you go.” she said as she laid him on the shore. “That way someone should be able to find you.”
“So this is a human man.” she whispered as she looked at his face.
“Hmm..” the human man started to get his consciousness back.
“Is he going to..” she said then she heard something coming closer behind her.
“No way, not in a place like this...” said the female voice sweetly.
“It’s fine. I’m telling you, there’s no one here.” said the male voice assuring the female.
“I’d rather use a bed.” said the female voice naughtily.
Jangmi hides behind the rocks nearby. “Phew... That was close.” she said.
“Come on, Lisa...” said the male voice.
“Hold on.” the female said to the male, she seemed had noticed the human man laying on the shore. “There’s an unconscious person over there!” she shouted.
“Is that Jungkook?” said the female.
“Jungkook? It can’t be. He’s supposed to be aboard a ship right now.” the male voice said not caring at all.
“But there’s no mistake! It’s him!” the female shouted again.
As the female ran towards the unconscious man, the man earlier looked at his left and saw Jangmi hiding besides the rocks.
“Hmm? What’s with that girl? What is she doing in a place like that..?” He questioned.
As the man stared her long enough he had noticed that the girl has a tail. “Mermaid?” he said as he rubbed both of his eyes, not trusting his sight.
“I’ve heard rumors but...” he then looked thoroughly, “So they really existed.”
“Jungkook!” cried the female earlier. “Jungkook! Are you okay?”
“Hmm.” whispered the man claimed as Jungkook.
“Lisa?” asked Jungkook as he gained his conscious.
“Thank goodness you’re alive.” said Lisa and brought Jungkook into her embraces.
“Was there someone else here just now?” asked Jungkook.
“No, just you.” said Lisa looking quite sad.
Jungkook noticed that something was staring into him at the corner of his eyes. Curious if he was seeing right, he turned his head to his left. The necklace in his grasp he place it inside his pocket.
“Dup-dup” Jangmi’s heart beats hard when she caught Jungkook’s glances. Startled she swam as fast as she could to be far from them.
“What’s wrong?” asked Lisa worried.
“Nothing. It must have been my imagination.” He said then throw a weak smile to Lisa. “I’m sorry, I’ve got to get my head together.” he continued.
“Don’t push yourself, I’ll call someone from the palace.” said Lisa.
