Chapter 9 : The Secret

"Well then, why don't you steal her away?" the smoke formed into a man and showed that it was the demon, V.

Yugyeom was startled, "Who are you?"

"I am a demon, please call me Mr. V." He introduced himself. Without further a due, he tried to persuade Yugyeom , "It is within my power to help you achieve your desire."

"With what motive?" Yugyeom asked looking skeptical.

"I want to make the situation more complicated. That's all." The demon said relaxed.

"What a creepy guy... But..." Yugyeom said looking to his left.

"Why not? Tell me your plan." He let out an evil smile and dark aura was seen around him.

The demon smirked at Yugyeom's word.

The next day...

Jungkook and Jangmi was walking hand in hand.

He looked at her and said, "This is the spot where I first saw you. I was quite surprised. I was in a shipwrecked, there are no people way out in the middle of the ocean."

"But no matter how many times I've tried, I still can't forget it. I remember you carrying me to the shore, and the shore is where I founded you." He looked at her with love in his eyes.

"I wonder if he'd still be able to love me, if he knew I was a mermaid..." The thought crossed Jangmi's head. She squeezed his hand with the thought of afraid of losing him.

"Next three day, I'll be away for a while on official business. Will you be alright if I go away?" Jungkook was worried.

"Thank for worrying about me, nut I'll be alright. Besides, I rarely felt the pain in my legs anymore." she said looking up meeting Jungkook's eyes.

"Next month, we'll be having a ball at the castle. My parents and many important nobles will be in attendance. I'd like to take you as my partner." He said rubbing his nape.

"What?" Jangmi asked.

"I'm thinking to present you to everyone there, not as a servant or a visitor but as my lover. Your necklace... I'll return it to you after I am back."

"Lover?" she thought to herself, her cheek turned into a hot pink.

"No matter what anyone says, I will absolutely protect you." He said cupping her cheek.

Looking that Jangmi was red he said, "You...don't want to?"

"I DO! I never thought we'd be able to go this far." she said and tears escaped from her eyes, "Prince Jungkook, I love you so much!"

"Aww, crying like this even though we have to open up the castle. Since you're so cute, I can't help myself." Jungkook said and hugged Jangmi.

Jangmi was so delighted, she felt like she were given a lifetime's worth of happiness.

*Back to Yogeum and the demon*

"You said you' lend me a hand . Exactly what power are you going to use to do this?"

Yogeum asked.

"With my power, of course," he smirked.

Three days later...

Jangmi was cleaning Jungkook room and doing other maid stuff today. Jungkook has left the island at dawn and will be back in two days.

"Jeez, these storm just won't stop." Nana said as she helped Jangmi folded Jungkook shirt.

"Lady Jangmi! What's wrong? Your face has gone completely pale." Nana asked her as she took a glance towards Jangmi.

"Eh? Oh I'm fine. Just feeling drained with all this rain." She chuckled.

"Your complexion's have been so bad lately. Please just rest today." Nana was worried of Jangmi. Jangmi nodded at Nana words.

"Please call me if there's anything you need." Nana said before she excused herself.

After Nana left, the pain in Jangmi's legs were too much for her to handle. It's getting hard for her to see properly, her vision was starting to lose. At that rate, it feel like she's gong to die.

"I wish Prince Jungkook was here..." she said almost fainted.

"Jangmi!" suddenly Jungkook jumped out of nowhere.

"Ju-jungkook?" Her eyes were dimmed.

"I'm sorry it took so long. They finally let the ship out." He said.

"Huh? How fast? Isn't he just go there this morning?" Jangmi thought to herself.

"What happen? Did you lose your life source?" He started kissing her.

"It felt different from how Prince Jungkook usually is." She thought to herself.

After kissing her for too long, he sat and said, "You're so cute. It's even more of a waste on Jungkook than I thought."

The colour of the hair start fading and it revealed Prince Yugyeom .

"We look alike don't we?" He smirked, "So out of me and Jungkook, who felt better?"

"I-I'm betraying Prince Jungkook right now. It was Prince Yugyeom that did it." Her tears started to pool.

"I hope Prince Jungkook gets back soon." she cried on her arms. Yugyeom left her room.
