Levi's POV

I sigh, slamming my papers against the dark, polished wooden desk. My eyes close, my head resting against my hand as I rub my temple gently. Headaches were my worst enemy...

No... wait... paperwork was my worst enemy...

It littered my desk, turning the reddish brown wood into a pile of unorganized papers and notes. Scattered across the desk were papers I have yet to sign right next to ones I needed to turn in tomorrow...

It was a nightmare.

Yet one I lived every day.

My head turns to the side, looking at the clock that sat against the wall. One in the morning... I should probably go home...

The red numbers suddenly change. One less minute of sleep... but... there was something else. Something that set everything apart from what it had been. Something that seemed to change the way I look at the world. As if someone came through a room and shifted everything slightly to the left... it was unsettling...

Color. That is what it was. The bright red flashing numbers against the grey clock. Next to the green folder that lay atop the blue book. So many colors I had never seen. So many colors I had only ever heard described.

So many colors...

A sigh leaves my lips as I rub my temple again, looking back down at the paperwork in front of me. It was a new worker form, requesting that a certain person he hired for this company.

As my secretary had recently quite, I needed someone new. I needed them quickly and I needed to know that I could trust them... and there was only one person I could think of. Even if I didn't know her very well, I knew she would be perfect... not to mention it would give me a chance to know her without them finding out about it...

If only it was that simple. If only I had to write down a name and I would suddenly get everything I ever wanted. If only it took one snap of my fingers and then everything would fall right into place like puzzle pieces into a puzzle. If only...

I was beginning to regret ever taking this job. Beginning to regret coming to work today. Beginning to regret holding Eren back for a few minutes...

All I could think about was her.

Her eyes - Perfect, like the ocean on a sunny day -, her hair - like the worlds smoothest chocolate -, her smile, her walk, her talk... her everything.

All it took was one simple glance and I was hooked. It should scare me more than it does...

With a sigh my eyes snap open, rising to my feet as I start to pace around the room. With the news of thwm stumbling across the one secret I wanted to keep a secret everything was thrown out the window. It had been half an hour and already I had gotten dozens of calls.

Their homes had changed. Their places to hang out had changed. Their everything had changed and I knew exactly why.

They were not hunting as they usually did. Everything was messed up...

They were hunting something specific... someone specific. I was not looking forwards to the sneaking suspicion I had being right.
