My eyes stay trained on the closed door. From the other side I hear (F/N) let out a sigh, her footsteps disappearing as she steps down the hallway.

"Help me..." I manage to whisper as her footsteps fade out into nothing. "Help me..."

You don't need any help.

I let out a small groan, letting my head fall against the oak wood that makes up my doorway. Who was the voice I was hearing? Why was I hearing it?

I had no idea.

I knew nothing. That was the simply truth of it, I knew absolutely NOTHING.

I let out a long sigh, my eyes closing in exhaustion. Today had been a long day and all I wanted to do now was sleep. Or eat.

I didn't think the second one was going to happen anytime soon.

Come on, just step outside. You'll find something to eat.

The voice echoed through my head, reverberating like it was coming through a tunnel. I send a quick glance behind me before sighing. My hand comes up to rub the bridge of my nose.

"Who are you?" I ask out to an empty apartment, my voice filling the small living room and bouncing off of the off-white walls.

Your only friend.

The simple answer took less than five seconds to reach me, yet it shattered me. Only friend?

"That's a lie. I have (F/N) and Eren and-"

(F/N) doesn't get this. Eren is hiding something bigger than you ever want to see. Levi? Well, that jackass doesn't even care about you. I am your ONLY friend, and don't you forget it.

I sigh, my gaze casting downwards before I head for the couch. I plop down lazily, my head lulling back until I was staring up at the cracked ceiling. It was rather smooth for what it was, a chandelier hanging from it. The light emitted was a soft yellow. Added with the off-white walls of the room it was rather bland.

"You're lying..." I whisper softly, a frown finding its way onto my face as I speak with the voice in my head.

I am by no means lying to you, little one. You are a friend to me. Friends don't lie.

"Well then you're not a friend because you're lying!"

"I assure you I am not lying." Suddenly the voice was no longer in my head. Instead it seemed to be coming from right beside me, sending me into shock.

A squeak left my lips as I jumped back, turning to the voice to see a rather familiar looking person.

His eyes shone black and red, his wicked smirk widening when I slipped off the couch and hit my butt on the hard wooden floor. I let out a huff, grumbling as I stand. My hand rubs my backside, dull pain radiating from it.

"What are you doing here? Haven't you caused enough trouble?" I mutter, plopping back down on the couch with slumped shoulders. The man was taller than me even as we sat. When he started chuckling it seemed to vibrate the air with its low tone, sending a shiver down my spine.

"I haven't caused you any trouble compared to what I will cause. I promise." He says with a snort, leaning back on my couch before propping his feet up on the small table in front of the couch. His shoes were fancy and shiny, almost like he was about to walk into a restaurant. In fact, his entire outfit screamed fancy with a white button down shirt with sleeves pulled up to his elbows and black dress pants that fit just right. He even wore a plain black tie that fell to his side as he lay lazily next to me.

"Why cause me trouble? How will that help you?" I question, watching the man wearily. I didn't believe anything about him. Not the eyes, not the semi-suit, not the height. Everything screamed wrong and I didn't like it.

The man chuckles, his head tilting to the side to look at me. He looked rather amused, his eyebrow cocked up as if asking a question.

"You really are dumb aren't you? Well, I guess I shouldn't expect you to know." The man closes his eyes, his head returning to its original position. He was like I had been five seconds ago, gazing at the chandelier without the gazing part. "I am a part of you now. A bad part of you, yes, but a very big part of you. I am here to drive you to my side. Make you angry enough to destroy some stuff and turn from your soulmate for the rest of eternity. The usual."

The man spoke casually. It was weird, hearing such a calm tone being used to speak so morbidly. I would have expected even a little bit of sadness, maybe urgency or even giddiness from this monster's perspective.

Nevertheless the words came across just fine, making my stomach twist and turn in both anticipation and fear. What did this person have in store for me? I wasn't sure, but something said I wouldn't like it. Not one bit.

"A part of me? What do you mean?" I mutter out, frowning at the man. I was on edge, my muscles tense and everything about me uneasy by this man's very presence.

"I bore of this, you know. This game your mind is playing with both of us is terrible. It would be better if you could just remember." The man sighs and shakes his head. "Anywho, if you want to know so badly what I mean, just look in the mirror."

The man smirks with his eyes still closed, his feet still up on my table. I frown at his words, standing slowly. "What are you playing at?"

My stomach grumbles loudly as I step over the man's feet, padding towards the bathroom as soon as I was clear of any tripping hazards.

"I don't play many games with important people." He mutters. I could hear the edge to his voice, almost impatience. Whatever this man expects me to see in this mirror was making him anxious.

I speed up slightly. Anything this person was anxious about was not good. At all.

The door to my bathroom was open, allowing me to skip inside without much hassle. I step inside the small bathroom easily, turning to the mirror almost as soon as I could.

See? Perfect.
