"As you know we have taken a group vote. We kept yours and our safety in mind. We simply can't have a strange disease that may be contagious in our camp. We will not leave you helpless though. The people of this camp have come together to make you a supply basket to take with you. In there you will find food and blankets and such. We all wish you the best of luck."
Both of their hearts sank. Anxiety started taking over Casey. Noah grabbed her hand to help her calm down.
"Th-thank you. All of y-you."
They walked back to their tent to collect their stuff.
"I'm sorry. Can I hug you?"
They both turned around to see a little girl in front of the tent.
"I would love a hug but I'm sick."
"It's okay Mommy is too. Please?"
"Alright but we have to make it quick okay?"
"Mhm."
The little girl ran over and hugged both Casey and Noah. Then, she insisted on taking Casey's suitcase to the car. Casey let her because even though she will never say it, she was getting pretty weak. The leader came over to the car and gave them the basket. He stressed how sorry he was and then sent them on their way.
